Congrats to all those getting pooled!

For any waitlist folks who sent in an update/interest/intent letter - did you address it to Dr. Gallant (the assoc. dean of admissions) or Ms. Delaney (the director of admissions)?
 
Has anyone gotten a definitive date/range when they will release acceptances etc? I heard around the 20th?
 
I addressed it to UVM Admissions Committee every single time I've sent it.

I would say if they are really good, they will post this by this Friday. After last admissions committee meeting (which was on a Wednesday), offers were made that Friday. :xf:

When you guys say you are getting "pooled" do you mean your status says: " You are within a pool of applicants from which an interview may be extended."? I've had this status for months so I'm starting to assume the worst.

Yes, this means you were pooled and can possibly receive an interview.

While it remained the same throughout the early morning today, my status in the OAC just changed to:

"Dear <NMonte82>,

Your file has been reviewed by the Admissions Committee. We will be contacting you shortly regarding the status of your application."


This is when the nerves really start to kick in to high gear...ahhh.

When did you interview? I interviewed last week and my status was "thank you for scheduling your interview"

Don't know about NMonte86, but I interviewed in the first week of November, and my status shows that a decision has been made. I remember having to wait about a week after my interview for my status to change to "We hope you enjoyed your interview", so maybe it's a little early for you? 🙂

I wish they would say what the decision is!!! So. much. anxietyyyyy.

Yep and yep. My status changed to the post-interview 'thank you' message the day after my visit, but I do know that there is quite a bit of variability in the timing.

I interviewed 10/27 and as of 2 minutes ago I still have the post interview message.....I am an OOS student with a 3.92 gpa and 34R MCAT and even wrote a letter of interest to UVM....I WANNA HEAR NOW!!!
 
I Interviewed Nov 3 and it still says thank you for interviewing...
 
Hoping to hear tomorrow! Please give me an OOS acceptance PLEASE!:xf::xf:

Not to be an a**...but with your user name and the disposition of your post, I definitely mentally heard it in the voice of Eeyore. 😛

Tuition is abhorrently expensive nearly everywhere. Don't worry about it. No matter where you go, I promise you'll pay off your loans. If your goal was to make a six digit salary without a buttload of educational debt, you wouldn't have chosen medicine as a career path. Keep your eyes on the ultimate prize 😉
 
Out of curiosity, does anyone know if people were notified first via status change, email, or both? Just want to know which page I should concentrate my Refresh skills on...

EDIT: never mind. Looks like statuses were the first to change! Come onnn UVM! Please don't make us wait all weekend!

Wait, I'm confused. Your status still hasn't changed from the 'thank you for interviewing' message? I thought that your status had changed to the waitlist as of several weeks ago, no? http://forums.studentdoctor.net/showpost.php?p=11748672&postcount=406

Regardless, still hoping that all of us who are waiting and obsessively refreshing during this wave of announcements hear the news that we want. 😀
 
Still no news?? Maybe it won't be until Monday - It seems like the last wave of news came out in the morning...
 
I'm post-interview. My online status changed yesterday to "the admissions committee has reviewed your file...and will be contacting you shortly..." how/when do you they contact you after this status change?

When I said "status change," I was referring to an admission 🙂 I am currently wait-listed hoping to be removed off of the wait-list. I hope that clears things up a bit 🙂

You just have to keep checking the portal. Your status will post on there when they updated it.

Hey Guys! So I just got off of the phone with UVM Admissions Office and they said that the portal will not be updated until early next week. I guess that means a bit more waiting, but at least we don't have to keep checking the portal today 🙂
