II for UP but on hold for CP (from a while back). Is there any way I can ask them to expedite the decision on CP so that I can schedule the dates together (if needed)? I don't want to fly into Cleveland twice...

If anyone still wants to gauge your own chances at this point, she has a 39 🙄

Finally rejected from the college track. Now to wait and see what the university track does with me - not that I expect much, but would love the opportunity.

I was complete way back on 8/10.

For those that are wondering, I did not get an email, I just got the iapply status.

Hey CCLCMer or vc77777,

Would it hurt to send pre-interview letter of interest? Thanks!
No, although I don't think it would help either. But if you have something to update the adcomm about (ex. new grades, new EC, pub accepted, etc.), that is definitely worth sending. You don't have to go crazy about how much you love the school. Just send a short email or letter detailing the update. Good luck!

If you came off as toolish on your apps as you did in this post, no MCAT score is going to compensate for that.

If it follows the trend it should be Monday and acceptances come out Tuesday

According to their twitter feed, they are reviewing the interviewees for the University Track from 10/25, 26, 29, 30, & 11/5, 6.

Darn! I wasn't there on any of those days. I guess I'll have to wait for 2 more weeks.

Thanks for posting this though!

hey for anyone who only applied to up or cp
did u guys have experience being frowned upon/seen as weird/interrogated as to why? during the interview/general adission process?

I only applied to UP because I was only interested in UP! It was never mentioned/brought up at any time during the process and I was accepted about a month ago!

I actually applied to both programs, but from my experience, the interviewers at each program didn't even know if you were interviewing at the other program. They didn't really care. The staff may just ask you if you are visiting the other school, but only for the sake of conversation.

Hi guys, I have a question about the transportation from CCLCM to the airport after interview. Does the admission office help coordinate taxi or people need to call by themselves? The distance is not short so I want to share with other people if possible. Does anybody have a phone number of local taxi company? Thanks.

I would seriously recommend not taking a taxi and taking RTA instead. It's slow and only runs every 20 minutes (forget about it on weekends)... but it's way cheaper than a taxi.

Yeah I took a taxi there and the RTA back. If the timing works definitely go with RTA instead.

So do decisions come out today from the committee meeting yesterday?

My flight is 6:58pm, is there enough time to get to the airport by RTA? CCLCM's last session will conclude at 4:30pm. BTW, did you take the RTA near CC or at downtown? Thanks!

Got an interview invite for College Track today via status update!

Nothing for University Track yet, though. Do interview invites for the two usually come at similar times?

I don't know.. it's a 45 minute train ride. Probably a 10-15 minute walk to the train. Up to 20 minutes of waiting on the train if not timed right. Cleveland security is a joke so don't worry about that... I personally wouldn't worry, especially if not checking bags and if you already have your ticket.

You do the math... I'm lazy and it's a Tuesday. I am also sure others will chime in.

I think my CCLCM day ended a little closer to 4 pm. I took the RTA at University Circle and it took ~35 minutes to get to the airport from there. There were no lines for checking baggage and security was quick. I think if you can catch the 5 pm red line or even the one after, you should be fine with arriving at the airport an hour early. Of course, current students or others from the area would probably have a better idea.

Side note: That stop I took looked like it was undergoing construction and I don't know if it'll be closed sometime soon.

Just got done with my interview day at case. Absolutely incredible. All the staff were extremely friendly and the faculty/student interviews were dry relaxing. Even the other applicants were very friendly and talkative. Top choice for me, the next few weeks will be agonizing

CP II by checking status this morning! So excited! Still nothing from UP though. Will they be able to accomodate any kind of schedule change if i do somehow here back from UP soon?
complete 9/5

My iapply page says I'm on hold. So other people might be able to check theirs too

It's just in the status part of the iapply underneath the previous correspondences.

Also sorry for being an SDN noob. I interviewed 10/30 for the university track.

I read earlier from this thread that there are no overacceptances in the pool of 32 for CP. Does that mean an interview in january which is considered late will pretty much be interviewing for the waitlist?
If anyone has knowledge on this, it would be much appreciated!

I would also like to know if anyone has an answer to this question. At this point, I would assume a 2013 interview would basically put me out of the running if this policy is the case.

From what I read, CCLCM accepts about 80 people to fill their class of 32. Many of those could be acceptances off of the waitlist, so it's possible that they don't "over-accept" initially.

No, they make sure not to overaccept. So they accept about 16 people in December and 16 more in February or March. That way, people who interview later will still have a chance. For people who interview before December, some will be accepted and some will be rejected; others will not necessarily hear anything (I'm not sure if there might be a hold status though) but may later join the February/March pool of acceptances.

Wow. O_O That's way different than what I heard on interview day. I heard that they initially accept 32 people, and then subsequently may end up taking 9-15 people off the waitlist. o.o But just note, this was all based on speculation of the students there.

My information is from SDN, so it's probably wise to take it with a pinch of salt. I did read from multiple sources that CCLCM gives out about 250 interviews in total each year. If they accept 32 and then 9-15 more later, that would give a 15-20% acceptance rate once you have an interview offer. For most other schools, the acceptance rate is closer to 30-50% once you have an interview.

I don't know the logistics of how many people they accept and when (like is it one batch in dec and another batch later), but they only ever have 32 people holding acceptances at a time, and do not accept the next person until someone withdraws. I think the numbers mentioned on my interview day was there are usually 40-70 acceptances depending on the number of people who withdraw that year.

Accepted!!! Sooo excited, I loved this school!! Congrats everyone!

Anyone in the Case thread have any thoughts on Case vs. Ohio State?

If there was no mention of any scholarships in our acceptance letters, does that mean the only ones available to us will be need-based, which we won't find out til January or so?
