Same boat interview the 25th, and was placed on the alternate list. I have to say I was not a fan of the closed file interview. I thought my interviewer did not get to know me well because he did not review my application. Congrats to all those that got accepted!!!!

Yep same here. Complete 9/9 haven't heard a thing.

I'm not sure when I was complete (somewhere between 9/1 when I submitted the secondary to 9/11 when they got my primary), but I haven't heard anything either.

Doesn't seem to be. But if you are truly very interested in GW, I think LOIs have gotten people off hold.

I got an interview invitation this week!!!! Very excited! I was complete mid august and put on hold. I wrote a letter of interest several weeks ago and I believe it helped.

In general, what did you write in there? I don't know if a LOI is meant to just display interest or update them about what you've been doing. I feel like a letter solely to express interest will just be reiterating my secondary essay.

Just wanted to chime in on my interview experience.. I LOVED IT! Students were really friendly. The admissions staff were really nice and open to questions. The interviewers I had honestly just wanted to get to know me, which I know sounds pretty unbelievable. But overall great interview day! 👍 Hopefully I get lucky enough to receive an acceptance here! 🙂

try to dig deeper into the website for info, make it personal to you. just the gesture of taking the time to write/send a letter, even if it is slightly repetitive, shows your interest

I sent an update letter last week after being complete for 2 months and having no status change. Checked today and now I am on re-review. Guess I got to send another update letter but kind of used all of my updates up for now. 😎

I'm in DC right now and so far it looks like the storm will be over with by tomorrow night/Wednesday morning. Only thing that could still be an issue would be any leftover effects (flooding, power outages, etc) that could affect interviews. I got an email from Georgetown saying they're planning on having their interviews still on Wednesday/Thursday, so looks like GW is on the same page

My apologies, I had assumed everyone was talking about a complete email. No email, but my app, like yours, does indicate I'm complete--but nothing else. :-(

I've been on hold since July 27th so I wouldn't hold your breath.

I feel like the longer you've been on re-review the worse off you are 🙁 does not bode well for me haha been on hold since early or mid July.

I was complete 9/10. I e-mailed admissions the other day and they said they take 6-8 weeks now. Mine's gonna be sitting there for 8 weeks by next Monday. I hope it's not going to be a flat out rejection.

Does anyone know if GW always puts peeps on-hold first or sends out straight rejections from "complete" ?
