The curriculum is traditional. Everything is in blocks, so you're taking one course at a time with ICM (doctoring 101) running throughout the whole year. For first year, you have anatomy, biochem/molecular biology/genetics, physiology/microscopic anatomy (histology), and neurology. Lectures are usually from 9-12 with labs, small groups, or case-based learning in the afternoon on some days. Things tend to end by 3 or 4 PM.
For second year, you have foundation of pathology and pharmacology, infectious disease and immunity, and FCM with ICM again throughout the whole year. FCM is where you will learn the bulk of your clinical medicine material (and for Step 1). It is broken down into organ systems, and each "block" within FCM is 4-5 weeks. Classes usually run from 8-12 with other stuff in the afternoon 2-3x a week.
FYI, every exam is on Friday with Thursday as a study day (no lectures or activities). This means that post-exam weekends are completely free of stress and studying.
