Been looking for that info as well...for all Texas medical schools...

During the Friday session, I believe Mr. Norred (VP of Student Affairs) gave figures of around 35-40% for the previous year's incoming class.

Good luck!

I got that from the admission director as 1 acceptance for every 1.7 interviewee. I asked during my interview.

Sent via my crappy phone.

When they say the emails are sent on, "November 15th at midnight", are we talking late night November 14th, or are we talking early morning November 16th?

Does anyone have any idea what's the latest date an individual can interview for this school and still possibly receive a prematch offer on the 15th?

I would say don't put too much hope on getting good news right on nov 15. For me, that is just when the waiting will start getting worse.

Thanks, I have a feeling that this answer will become very consoling when the 15th rolls around and I haven't heard back yet. Though for the time being, it's not what I want to hear :scared:

Got my acceptance a minute after midnight on the 15th. I'm guessing they have a list of accepted candidates that they have set to some mailing list that's sent out once it gets past midnight.

Even if you don't get receive a prematch on the 15th, prematches will continue to be sent out until the middle of December as they become available (people withdrawing, etc.).

Could someone please explain to me how the process of applicant review post-interview works for out of state applicants differs from the in-state process??

Hey, has anyone been able to stay overnight with a med student for the Southwestern interview?

I emailed the contact in the interview invite email but I have not heard back yet...

I am also interested in anyone providing information on this.

Also, this may be a bit redundant but there doesn't seem to be a thursday night social before friday clinical rounds, correct?

I had an interview on the 3rd of Nov. To my knowledge there was no Thursday night social.

On a somewhat related note, I noticed at lunch on both Friday and Saturday seemingly random medical students tended to show up at our tables and chat with the applicants about pretty much anything. Not sure if this was something UTSW encouraged them to do or what. Also Friday evening dinner is sort of the formal "social" with the students. I met a super nice 4th year who sat with me for an hour after dinner and mock interviewed me; it was a ton of help. All of the students I met there were very friendly & willing to answer any questions, so definitely don't be shy.

Oh wow that med student providing the mock interview sounds awesome, what a treat. I hope I have a similar positive experience, to be honest, I didn't think I was even gonna hear from them so just the opportunity to interview at a top 20 is a dream come true. I'm gonna bring my A game, I know its late in the interview season, but I applied late so I hope I still have a shot.

You can definitely be hosted by students if there are enough available hosts. I'm not sure when they send out housing requests to the hosting students but I'd wait until Wed if possible, sometimes they just have to wait for the email back and forth. I think I signed up to host this weekend too, I'll drop the person an email tomorrow and see what's up. If it turns out that I'm free, I can probably host one of you guys.

Can you guys check your UT Southwestern status page???????????

Just looked at mine. Nothing has changed. Still says "COMPLETED" for application status. I interviewed here a while back.

Sorry I was not clear enough. I mean in the interview section. So on the landing page you have the following:

MyPassword** - EDIT MY MYGATEWAY PASSWORD
MyProfile* - EDIT MY PROFILE
MyApplications - ACCESS MY APPLICATIONS
MyInterview - ACCESS MY INTERVIEW TO THE MEDICAL SCHOOL

If you clicck on MyInterview and then you have

Your interview date is locked
Address Change
Application Profile/Status <<<
Directions UT Southwestern Map
Questions? Email Us

Then click the Application Profile/Status
It should have all info about scores and your current application status (as "interviewed" normally).

What does your "UT Southwestern Application Status" line say?

Up to this morning it said "interviewed", but I can't access the link now, so I am wondering if there are updating the system or something with good news. Anyone???

Oh, gotcha. Mine says interviewed still. hmm interesting...

OK thanks, my computer may be playing some tricks on me...

Mine says "Accepted" but I thought that just meant they had processed my application/interview...

OK, so my page is up now, says accepted as well. Up to now, it has always said interviewed. Does it mean you are in? I guess officially we can't find out till tonight after midnigt.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see. Don't want to get preemptively excited... best of luck!

I am going to wait until I receive an official notification here before jumping to any conclusion. It bodes well though
And yes I am IS.

Mine also says this. I'm just gonna hope it means I'm getting good news tonight :luck:

And I am instate as well

The next 12.5 hours are going to suck why did they do this to me...

To those who have the accepted status, when did you interview? Anyone at the November 3rd interview have the accepted status?

I interviewed on the very first week-end. I think first week of september or something like that.

Hopefully that means they are moving sequentially through the days and then mass emailing tonight.
Any other way of processing the applications would be disorganized. It seems the only way to me. So good luck to you all, and remember, the majority of matriculant likely doesn't hear back on Nov 15th. It is just the beginning.

Be sure to get back to us if you guys indeed get an acceptance tonight. Looks like I will have one more online things to check everyday...

Also please let us know when you interviewed if you see an update to your UTSW gateway profile.

Mine just changed from accepted to interviewed. I'm confused now 😕

Does anyone know if previous applicant pools also had to use the mygateway system? This is a total shot in the dark, but maybe they weren't aware that they're decisions were updating on the website and they figured it out or someone noticed and alerted them to it

Anyone else see a status change either way?
