Does anyone know if previous applicant pools also had to use the mygateway system? This is a total shot in the dark, but maybe they weren't aware that they're decisions were updating on the website and they figured it out or someone noticed and alerted them to it

Anyone else see a status change either way?

I am only expecting to hear from one school tonight since all my interviews are after the 15th. (Nov. 9, is probably too soon for a pre-match).

I interviewed Nov 3rd and am IS. No acceptance status for me (I looked around the time that a few others had it up) :cry:

So I have a question. How do you find out about the pre-match exactly? School's website, email or TMDSAS website?
Evidently, there is nobody behind the computers to do that at midnight. I am sure they have automated all of that...
So where should I be at midnight?????

Congratulations to everyone who has gotten accepted 🙂 We all look forward to seeing you guys, and truly hope that y'all become proud members of the class of 2017. Southwestern is truly an amazing institute with amazing people and opportunities. I can guarantee that anyone who decides on Southwestern over any other school, will always look back and be glad that they made that decision (just like I do).

For everyone who hasn't gotten accepted yet, don't worry 🙂 I got accepted in May 🙂 Just keep your fingers crossed!

My impression is that they send out the bulk of their acceptances on Nov. 15, and then send out additional acceptances after that date as people withdraw and such. I can think of a few people who received prematches in December.

A pretty decent chunk of the students here got in off the waitlist. I think a lot of movement starts around March/April and really picks up in late April/early May, when students holding multiple offers start getting back financial aid, getting off other waitlists, hitting deadlines, etc.

Wow man, I am really happy for you and your family. I didn't even interview at this school but I creeped on the threat every now and then and I always read something about your concerns about staying dallas and being close to your family, even if it meant attending TCOM. I volunteered at UTSW for 2 years, worked there another 2 years, and have a coworker who is an MS-1 there. I know you will love it. Again, I am very happy things worked out for you.

Pre-match = formal acceptance
Match = keep one formal acceptance, withdraw from other Texas acceptances

The letter that you get in the mail should have a lot more information with quite a few documents to sign. Scholarship money is dependent on your stats + demographics + socioeconomic status + how much money is available this year.

Ah crap, is it safe to say that most the people who get pre-matched later in December are those that had late interviews and weren't available for the nov 15 match right? Then I would think if I have a fairly early interview my app is waitlisted already 🙁
Oh well, just as I thought, this whole thing is getting worse, way worse...
