When did you interview? I interviewed 10/2 and received that same email about hearing 11/15. I didn't get an email yet, tried calling today during the times and 1-4p and there was literally no answer the entire time. I'm getting anxious :/ the decision has been made for a month!

Sooo, did you get an email today that told you to call? How did it work? I interviewed before you so just curious of the timeline. My email said "call when you receive that email"...

They sent me an email saying my letter was signed and I can call during their office hours. I got the email about 3:30 (central) and their office closes at 5, so I was able to make a quick call.

Oh okay thank you I guess I just have to be patient because I didn't get that email today! I know tomorrow and Wednesday are interview days so I'm hoping for some news by Thursday. Congrats!

They emailed you all today? Or did they send they send the email yesterday saying you can call anytime?

I got my email today, it told me to ca within a certain timeframe and I did. Ms. Walk answered and let me know I had been accepted and told me expect the packet in the mail by Monday.

Hey, is it weird that I submitted my primary and secondary app on Oct 25th and have not heard back from the admissions team yet?

Anyone knows how long it takes for the application to be complete after you submit your secondary? Do they send an email?

Hello Everyone!

Hello: Does anyone know if Howard sends out rejections letters throughout the application screening or do they send all at the end in June?

Did you do an interview already or just a secondary?

Hey guys! I am interviewing on the 10th. Who's with me?

Mine was completed fairly quick.....I can't remember the exact day that I interviewed (it was sometime in November) but I had submitted my secondary a month prior to that

By the way congratulations to everyone who have been accepted..... I was told at my interviews last month that everything should be decided for my group by December 15th so I'm waiting anxiously

I just received a request for fall grades email. Anyone in this situation/know if my chances of getting and interview are decent?

II today! They gave me the option of 1/7 or 1/8, said they'd get back to me about which. Anyone else going those days? For those of you who already interviewed, how was it? What's the format?

congrats! where were you complete?

I'm going on three months with no word from Howard! Anyone else in the same boat or should I definitely be making a call? If I do call how should I approach it, I really don't want to be annoying to them!

I've been complete since end of August, and I haven't heard a peep. My invites from other schools have either come like a week after completion or 4 months after lol. I just wanted to let you know you're not alone!

same here. I was complete at Howard mid-Sept and havent heard anything.

The interviews are very relaxed just be yourself and tell you story

I applied in September and was complete by the second week of September. I haven't heard anything from Howard….this wait is killing me. ugh :/

I'm traveling out of the country for a month (from mid Dec to second week of Jan) and I've yet to hear anything from Howard. I'm worried that if I go overseas they won't be able to get touch with me for an interview invite. I don't want to bring my phone to avoid roaming costs. What should I do?

set your e-mails to reply with an out of the country response. you could always just e-mail them with this info, too

You could always bring your phone go to settings and turn off roaming and data....whenever you get near wifi just connect to wifi and check your emails. I did this when I traveled out of the country a few months ago.

Good ideas guys! Thanks!

I am thinking about visiting tomorrow during the hours 2-330pm. This isn't the open house/tour, just hours when they accept calls/visitors. Does anyone know if I'll be able to talk to an admissions officer or speak to someone to get a good feel for the school?

Fyi I have completed my secondary but haven't heard yet about an interview invite.

Congrats to everyone who has been accepted!! I was complete on November 4 and waiting to hear from them. Anyone know if they are still sending out interview invites?

Definitely still more interviews to go. They go till April.

Hey everyone, as far as I know, Howard likes to interview people as groups that are somewhat similar. For example, during my interview it was me and two other people who had completed graduate school. And another friend interviewed with people with similar MCAT scores. I don't know if this is the for sure process but that may be an answer to why some of you haven't heard back, they're waiting to see who they want you to interview with so everyone can be on equal footing. You don't want to have your app reviewed during their meeting with someone with a 40 and you only have a 25 if that makes sense! I could be wrong idk.

I was wondering if any of you could offer some advice?

About me:
1) My cGPA is a 3.38 and my sGPA is a 3.3 (AMCAs calculated)

2) I have two W's on my transcript, one for Orgo II and the other for Physics II. I retook Orgo II and got a C+ (not a B+/A like I wanted but better than another W) and I also retook Physics II and got an A- (First time I took Physics II I got a D+, the second time I withdrew and third time is when I got the A-.....really looks bad, I know!)

3) I have a slight downward trend in my grades. I started off with a 3.9 in my freshman year, then had some bumps in the road (as mentioned above).

4) My only MCAT on file is a 14N (took it in 2011; clearly wasn't prepared and stupidly wrote the exam). I was able to raise my score up to a 23 (on practice exams only). I'm definitely going to retake it, only when I score 30+ on practice tests.

5) I have a wealth of EC's and honors including volunteer work, internships, and community service. Have not been published or anything spectacular but interesting. I am a two recipient of the SUNY Chancellors Award.

6) Great LORS. One of which includes the President from the CC I attended for my first two years in undergrad.

7) I'm a male URM. (I hear that helps some)

So is there any hope for me? What should I do to boost my application? SMP? Graduate degree? ANY help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
