Crossing my fingers for my first acceptance at this school. Interviewed 9/25. Congrats to all accepted!
I got mine sometime last week. I remember reading on SDN somewhere where it took a month until the adcom discovered they had made a mistake and rescinded an offer. I'm still in disbelief and am waiting for that to happen.
Accepted!!! I'm going to be a doctor!!!!. II earlier last week!!!
I'm very confused by this post... Were you accepted today after interviewing last week?
Congrats! Which campus did you interview at?Accepted!!! I'm going to be a doctor!!!!. II earlier last week!!!

Was this by email? Or by snail mail?
Uh oh. Interviewed on 10/15 ..
If you remember they said they weren't going to look at our apps till today... I think I just got lucky. (In state/Philly local etc). Don't stress- goodluck!
Anyone get the acceptance letter in the mail yet? I'm seriously still in disbelief...
Does anyone know if Temple does multiple mini interviews/group interviews, or are they individual?
According to the website, Temple doesn't have a public waitlist:
"Some candidates may be placed on the continuing candidate list after interview. An applicant’s placement on the continuing candidate list is confidential and will not be shared with the applicant."
http://www.temple.edu/medicine/admissions/invited_for_interview.htm
To be fair does any school tell you where you are on the waitlist?

Last year waitlist letters were received around this time....Has anyone been wait listed yet???
Can any current speak to the quality of financial aid (and specifically, merit aid) at Temple? At this point I probably would have to withdraw from there if not offered some form of scholarship (80k COA is steep). :/Last year waitlist letters were received around this time....

Oh jeez...that information definitely does not sit well with me! I interview tomorrow! So nervous, especially for the student interview.Yes, they'll send you a 'continuing candidates list' letter if you are waitlisted. Last year was pretty bad and no one got accepted from the waitlist (including me). Hope that doesn't happen again.

Okay, I'll take your word for it! Thanks 🙂Don't worry about the interviewers... they were my favorite interviews that I've had so far! My student interviewer was so awesome! It should be relatively stress free 🙂

I hope it's not too late to catch you, but super super do not worry. I got to to the interview thing here twice, and the students were far and away the easiest parts, and the faculty interview was a snap too. Most students will interview you in the main lobby, and it's really just a chance for you to show how personable you can be with a peer. Grab some coffee in the admissions office and just pretend you're meeting a friend's friend. You'll do great!Okay, I'll take your word for it! Thanks 🙂
Thank you! It was exactly as you said--very stress-free, very relaxed. Had a great first interview experience and love everything I saw today. 🙂 Faculty interview could have gone better, but overall I think the interviews went well! That's fantastic! If you have strong feels for this place, be sure to write a thoughtful thank you note to your interviewers and prep an update later for a month or so from now. PM me for advice if you'd like.Thank you! It was exactly as you said--very stress-free, very relaxed. what days were still available??II today. Complete early August.
The email said that they are currently scheduling interviews through the end of November. All the November interview dates were still available.what days were still available??
oh wow why is temple so incredibly slow with the interview invites? i was complete way back in august and haven't heard a thing yet... still under review whatever the hell that means...The email said that they are currently scheduling interviews through the end of November. What about it makes you think it didn't go well? My interviewer brought up a shortcoming in my application and brought up something that I found a little concerning, but the rest of the interview aside from that went pretty well in my opinion. Also, being waitlisted isn't the end of the world like it was last year! Keep your head up and your fingers crossed, you're not out of the running yet!Guess I'm the first on SDN to get waitlisted. Really a shame since I loved this school.
FWIW I didn't think my faculty interview went very well

Oh, okay. I understand what you mean :/ . Still, that's great you have another acceptance under your belt! Either way you're going to be a doctor!I just didn't jive with her and I was getting frustrated by how most of the conversation was about her because I felt like she wasn't getting to know me at all. I ended up accidentally interrupting her, which I think was probably one of the nails in my coffin.
As far as the waitlist goes, I can't imagine that I would hold out past may 15 since I've been accepted to an equally wonderful school already. Just sucks that I don't have the option of Temple.
Can anyone comment on the surrounding area? I've heard from people that one of the streets there is called the "100-meter dash" cause apparently if you don't sprint, you'll get shot... I know this is just a joke and not true but is the surrounding area really that bad?
The students on the tour said they feel 100% safe on campus, and that Temple University's police force is one of the highest staffed in the country or something. I don't remember that statistic exactly, but the point is that they feel safe getting to and from campus at all hours of the night. The area for me is on of the many draws of Temple, being that I want to help serve that type of community. Don't sweat it!Can anyone comment on the surrounding area?
