OH BOY OH BOY OH BOY OH BOY OH BOY *hyperventilates and falls out of chair* *gets back up to refresh email* OH BOY OH BOY OH BOY *repeat process*

I've just been trying to keep myself busy as is (and not check my email while on my hour long drive to and from work each day). I did have a wonderful day tho today. I do some testing for a clinic and I got a huge hug from a patient when their test results came back negative. He was jumping up in the air he was so happy. Reminded me of why I'm putting myself through all this stress and left me with a big smile on my face for the rest of the day. What I would give to be able to do that as a physician every day of my life. Fingers crossed!

This is amazing!! YESS hopefully class of 2019 🙂 then we can help people 24/7 for the rest of our lives!!!

Hey guys, the last tab is gone on the portal. Expect decisions soon.

Last year it looked like the decisions came the day after the previous committee decision tab disappeared? Anybody instate have a "Rural" tab? Last year that was an early indicator of acceptance for IS people.

Anybody OOS have the tab, including anybody already accepted? I don't think it was ever confirmed that this only was on IS people's pages.

If some OOS people don't start responding about this dreaded tab.. I literally might die from hyperventilation as well.

The rural tab was for the CRISP program which is iowa residents only

I am betting the decisions come tomorrow. This is exactly what happened last year.

I know, I'm just thinking maybe it will show up on everyone's portal if accepted. Sorry guys, I'm just going into panic mode. 🙁

Mine has disappeared and I don't have the rural tab....IS 🙁

Yeah someone needs to elaborate a little more on this "rural" tab. I doubt that it has any significance in their decisions at this point and we all just need to take a deep breath.

Really hoping that's true. I'll be crushed. But from the way last year's thread looks...it doesn't look good for me.

The rural tab was just an early indicator for acceptance from previous years. That's all. I'm not sure if OOS has that option nor if people waitlisted have it either. At this point, if someone has the rural tab and you're IS, prepare for rejection or waitlisted.

I'm OOS and there's nothing up for me.

OOS, this is what i have...

I am OOS and was placed on the alternate list. In my letter it says, "Your position on the Nonresident Alternate List is No. ." with no number... Anyone else have this happen?

Have they sent emails to you guys notifying about decision? or is it just on the portal? Mine doesn't say anything yet, though the AdCom Decision Tab is down. This is stressful.

IS alternate number 26... Looooooong shot. Any idea how long the list is?

The actual number is on the bottom of the page after you accept the alternate list placement.

My friend had the same issue, except he is IS. You need to make sure you accept the position on the waitlist down at the bottom before your number pops up.

Finally notified via secondary page - rejected. Good luck to everyone who was accepted 🙂 Iowa City's an amazing place.

So now I have the tab but it doesn't go to anything when I click on the decision tab...

IS Waitlisted number 33... I've heard that they accepted through 26-30 in years past from the wait list. Not sure about my odds.

Rejected OOS as well - oh well, my chances with a late interview were slim anyway. Best of luck to the rest of you (the comment above me gave me a chuckle)!
