Anybody on here interview today? If so you got an excellent example of stressed out MS1s on exam day haha

Did you interview at UMD or just rejected via snail mail?
And keep your head up, it's still really early in the season!

Online portal still says interview under review, the letter was addressed about a week ago though. Communication records do not have anything either

Did anyone get accepted yesterday? I was under the impression that phone calls would start going out yesterday.

Unfortunately did not get an interview invite. Good luck to the rest of you!

received a rejection letter via snail mail. IS, only in-state school...this one really stings

Had your status in your secondary changed from 'under review?'
haha I usually don't check anything on a portal after I've been rejected but since you asked....

its still noted as "under review" and I have no new messages under the communication status

Does anyone know when acceptance letters are sent for those who interviewed earlier this month?
Historically I've seen applicant first receive acceptances by snail mail Oct 17-24. Thanks, and congrats to those who recently received interviews!

Accepted!!!!! Received snail mail dated Oct. 15th 😀

I interviewed and was accepted IS! Tips: Be yourself. I found the interview day pretty relaxed, but you obviously must remain professional and conservative the whole time. One interview was really conversational - it didn't feel like I was really being interviewed and my interviewer was super easy to talk to. That being said, I still tried to incorporate my main points (big things I wanted them to know) in to my talking. My second interview was a little more standard - Q&A. She asked questions, I answered, sometimes conversation happened a little, but she was definitely more of a formal interviewer. She had read my application front to back and asked me questions about numerous things on there, including an anecdote from my personal statement. My best advice is to google for medical interview practice questions and just get comfortable having someone ask them to you and answering out loud! Try to have a few specific examples that highlight multiple skills or traits and thus you can use the example to answer any number of questions (hopefully you won't use the same example twice in the actual interview, though...). Practicing is my best advice. You don't have to memorize your answers, but just be aware of them. Know your strengths and weaknesses, and be able to 'spin' them into a positive, or at least show that your weakness doesn't hinder you. Make sure you think of thoughtful questions to ask your interviewers, too (this is really important)!

Sorry for the really rambling response, I just typed as thoughts came to me.. Hope this is helpful!! Good luck, you'll do great!

I interviewed on 10/1 and still nothing. I have this nasty feeling I'm not in...

ACCEPTED!!! Received a call from Dr. Foxwell 🙂 He let me know that I should receive a packet of information later this week in the mail. Woohoo!!!
