Is anyone opting for the makeup test date? Things totally never worked out for me -_-"
Did anyone else think this test was ridiculously easy? 99% of the answers were common sense... The only one I remotely struggled with was coming up with a negative influence answer (trying to be vague here, are we not supposed to disclose the questions?)
I dunno, grandpa sounded kinda Canadian.Finished. More common sensical than I expected, but not enough Canadian accents.
not bad not bad haha I liked it!DONEEEEEEEEEEEE!! How did ya'll think it went?
yea that happened to me too....I wouldn't worry about it thoughdid anyone run out of time on some answers? on some boxes, i could only get two sentences in...

k good night SDN may we all rest easy and not get nightmares of CASPer
I personally would rather write essays untimed with an opportunity to gather my thoughts. Preferably in an environment without technical difficulties and the possibility of my typed-in answers disappearing because of someone else's mistakes. You guys are all complaining like this was the worst thing since your first freshman chemistry exam.... I would go through all of that again...every technical hiccup...every video with bad acting.... as opposed to coming up with more essays about diversity or why I think NYMC aligns with my learning style, professional goals, blah blah blah

Nah, I'm cool with 16. I didn't qualify for FAP.Grand...Now go through those thoughts 33 more times for 33 more schools pretending like you're not recycling essays.
they're probably filming the whole thing. They must be testing our reactions under stress...
this is even better
3/10 for diversity of actorsI dunno, grandpa sounded kinda Canadian.
My account got deleted and I had to reregister.. I hope I don't have to pay the fee again. I'm just sad I have to wait till August to take the next test 🙁
Source!?They're going to add a test before the next test date
This personality test is one of the most *****ic smoldering piles of crap I've ever seen a medical school require and justify:
1) How the HELL is it an objective test? Just because you call something objective and can scrunch it into making statistical sense doesn't mean it is objective. I wish more scientists would get this. Personalities are inherently subjective, dynamic, and variable within individuals. This thing is just dumb, and it's even dumber that this school is using in the decision making process.
2) There's room for most personality types in medicine, so saying a certain personality type means you aren't fit for medicine, or using it in the decision making process is irrational at best, and discriminatory at worse.
3) This stupid thing is literally going to hold up our applications because of the broken website and the fact that we have to literally schedule months in advance to fill out a frickin multiple choice test. At the very minimum this school should give us another site where we can take this test or another (Myers-Briggs is probably just as "objective" as this one), or just upload the test online or make their own.
4) Whoever thought requiring this test was a good idea to add this to the application should be fired.
If you think that's long, I'm surprised you've made it past high school freshman english courses lmao.
2) There's room for most personality types in medicine (Really??? I guess you're the expert), so saying a certain personality type means you aren't fit for medicine, or using it in the decision making process is irrational at best, and discriminatory at worse.
4) Whoever thought requiring this test was a good idea to add this to the application should be fired (Nailed it).

I submitted 7/9 and there have been no changes on my status page.On a different topic, is there anyone else who submitted their secondary July 10th and is still seeing the message on the status page about "A unique log-in was sent to..."
Oddly, this makes me feel a lot better. Glad to know I'm not the only one.I submitted 7/9 and there have been no changes on my status page.
Hmm, mine doesn't have that second bullet point yet. In due time, I guess.Yes, and it will stay there even when you're complete - like a tracking feed. For example, my page reads:
SECONDARY APPLICATION
This section contains updated information about the status of your Secondary Application.
- 07/09/2015 - A unique LOGIN ID and PASSWORD was sent to the email address listed on your AMCAS application in order for you to complete the NYMC Secondary Application.
- 07/14/2015 - Your Secondary Application was completed by the Office of Admissions and is currently under review by the Committee for Admissions.
Thanks for telling me. I only have the first message, though, so I don't think I'm complete.Yes, and it will stay there even when you're complete - like a tracking feed. For example, my page reads:

yea no my only problem is that we will be judged against people who perhaps take it next week or in august and may have good testing conditions. at times during the exam i was being interrupted by notifications and concentration was broken repeatedly since i needed to reload every page. Hopefully they take these conditions into account or let us retake in better conditions. also did people go with their gut or the ethical thing to do. I mainly went with what made sense and was ethical, but sometimes not the nicest thing to do.that's a good point. isn't this sort of like a personality test? i feel like everyone is pissed right now haha
Yes, still says that on mine.lol back to casper though. is it still in progress/does it still say resume test for anyone who took the test after all the commotion and finished?
at least tech support was hotNope, of course you don't 😡. It's only logical that a test as *****ic as this would have some lame rule about not telling us the results. It's only logical to stick more idiotic bs rules on top of a test like this. -_-
I don't have to be an expert. Go to any hospital and interact with multiple doctors or volunteer with them, there's room for almost any personality and that's there, no dumb test should prevent that. Plus think about how subjective and variable personalities are, or even your own is, even on a weekly basis. It's insulting to us to treat this thing as an objective measure or use it as an admissions criteria to anything, especially given how much effort us applicants put into stuff that is actually meaningful and matters. They might as well look at our astrology signs to determine how fit we are for medicine, or give us tarot readings on the interview day. It's an insulting joke and whoever uses the results of this to screen applicants is practically the modern day equivalent to a flat-earther.
i don't think we can see the results =(Do we get to see our results as well or just NYMC. I feel we should as we paid for the testing.
