What's the method/ID you've been using? I used my webcam and my permit and they accepted it first try.

I used my phone to take a picture, then sent that in. Make sure it is well lit and you can read everything clearly.
 
I used my iPhone. I guess I could have made it brighter. I'll try that next time.
I found it odd that they asked for a resubmission on a Saturday. Does that mean they are checking for them now?
I'm suspecting that NYMC will have a very low retention of secondaries as a result of these CASPER issues.
Also, do ya'll think it will be a problem that my "major" professor for my LOR only taught me for 2 units (It was an honors seminar)? Does that count?
 
update:
They didn't accept it again. I took another picture and resubmitted with a higher pixel resolution. At the same time, I sent them a passive aggressive email and they verified it in 15 minutes.

Good luck everyone! I'm taking the test at 12PM today, and I'm pretty excited to never take this test again after this. Here's hoping there aren't too many questions that throw me off or stump me :/ The 5 min limit is brutal.

I agree! where did 5 minutes come from?! Like on the practice test when they ask for a time when... Just thinking of a time takes up a minute!

The test is 12 modules, 3 questions each I believe... 5 minutes for each section, so about 60 minutes, providing CASPer doesn't crash and make us reschedule/retake. There's an optional 15 minute break too, but I don't think I'm going to take it.

I want to say that you don't get a grade from CASPer because the individual responses have to be graded by someone, since it's all written... I think the schools see your response. Not really sure.

I can't believe one of the tips to do well on the CASPer test is to practice your typing speed. My typing speed is 140-150WPM, and 5 minutes is still not enough because you have to use your brain to think before typing...

I'd like to think i'm a fast typer too but the faster I go the more spelling errors I make and I'm definitely not writing in complete sentences! I hope they can decipher what I'm trying to say hahaha

They said spelling errors/grammar doesn't matter, so I think as long as you get your thoughts out and then can sort of decipher what you're trying to say, you'll be good. I just hate that you don't have time to revise what you're saying after you write it out, because a lot of people like to go back and add stuff in or change stuff... I'm not the type of person that can write out my answer perfectly on the first try. you get like, 30 seconds to think and then 1.5 mins to answer each question.

I agree! Just a little time to think about the video before jumping to the questions would be so nice! I don't understand how they can narrow down their applicants with this test but it kind of takes the pressure off because we can just do our best!
 
Taking this test at noon EST as well. Let's hope this thread's page count doesn't end up increasing by 10 pages in the process like it did last month...

They said that it doesn't explicitly matter, but If u typ lik diS, THen u probab get low scores

Okay, it just took 5 minutes for it to load after I clicked the email link
 
I think they're probably just setting up the test... I was already logged in and refreshed my page (I regret doing that), but I am on the testing page now!

Edit: I'm ready for them to judge my room, since I'm taking my test on a computer and not a laptop.

It looks like they give you 18 mins and 40 seconds to hit the start button guys for future reference. I'm about to take this thing and GL!
