Wow that's some seriously short notice...

I know right. I'm already going to be out of town Friday-Monday to see the Pope in Philly and then again next Friday-Sunday to go to my Grandpa's funeral, so I already requested a ton of time off work, and now I have to request Tuesday and Wednesday off too. I'm going to end up working a double on Thursday x.x

I'm sorry to hear about your grandpa. Good luck with that and your interview.

Thanks, he actually died in July, we're just getting around to the funeral now haha. Thanks! Good luck to you too, hope you get many IIs here and elsewhere 🙂

...this ambivalent tone is an uncomfortable read...

Sorry, didn't mean to be callous, I guess death (especially when it's clearly someone's time to go, as was the case with my Grandpa) isn't that sad for me. Maybe it's because I'm religious and I don't think death is the end or something. I dunno.

I think it came off wrong over text, I was just trying to joke about the fact that it took my extended family so long to find a date that worked for everyone.

Not sure, I'm at work and don't have my spreadsheet in front of me, sorry!

@Lannister, I'm going to be there next Wednesday, too! I've seen you post a bit here so it's cool that I'll be interviewing with you!

And second that on the short notice... I'll be getting back home from another interview at 9pm the night before then driving to Cinci!

Yay! Now I'm going to be all curious trying to figure out which person is you Haha.

This is probably a dumb question, but I understand interviews are extended until March, but realistically when should one panic if they have not received an II? lol

Has anyone rescheduled their interview date? So they let you choose a new one right away or is there a delay?

I just got an interview for 10/7 and I don't know if I can make it...

If you don't hear from anyone by December, I might start making plans or at least brainstorming what you might do with a gap year. Hope for the best and prepare for the worst. Don't get your worries up yet though - there is still plenty of time.

in speaking with my college health advisor, she had suggested if you don't have any II by NYE, start looking into backups. (you of course never know, i had a friend who was ready to start a master's program then got off her only waitlist in JULY). but as @DrHart said - there's a lot of time before that sort of thinking!

I haven't heard from them either. Secondary submitted on 8/3 and letters received by 9/2ish. In State too.

can you log out and complete the II extra essays later?

Do interview invites usually get set out on Tuesdays?

Actually I'm not sure... Luckily my aunt lives down there so I'm just staying with her, so I didn't look into student hosts.
I searched a bit more and found they do have a host program. You have to email admissions for the list in case anyone is wondering 🙂

Soo I'm in a situation where I have an interview in Cleveland on a Weds and Cincinnati on a Friday. Any Ohio locals have suggestions as to where I should hang out on my free Thursday? Cleveland, Columbus or Cincinnati?

Cleveland is pretty cool, lots of good museums, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, lots of awesome places to eat (East 4th St). And Case's campus is pretty nice, and really close to all the museums and stuff. I've only been in Cincinnati for about two hours, so I can't really speak for this city, but from what I've seen it seems really nice!

columbus for sure

Just got done with my interview day! I liked the school a lot, but I wouldn't say I fell in love with it. However, Cincinnati itself does seem like a really cool place, all the trees and hills are beautiful. The MMI was actually kind of fun, and you'll know exactly what to expect going into it because they give a presentation about it beforehand. I felt like I rocked 7/8 of the stations, but then my second to last station was kind of emotional and hit close to home and it threw me off for my last station, my voice was kind of shaking. Kinda embarrassing lol. But they said they discount outlier scores so I'm hoping good scores from the other stations will help with my lower score from that station.
