CONGRATS GUYS!!!!

What's the next date of interviewees they will review after 10/7? They only interview every 2 weeks or so right?

alternate list. hmm i don't remember a whole lot about them talking about the alt list. I do know that very few people are put on it, so I feel a little better...

Accepted! So far looking like my top choice! Can't wait to meet all of my fellow classmates! I am probably going to use exclamation marks in all of my sentences today in celebration!

As a fellow alt lister, welcome to the club. The one thing I have to say is I do not think it is an extremely small list of people. I personally know five people on it and it seems a lot of people have posted here that they have been placed on it 🙁

Does anyone know if you can access your additional information that you submit when you are invited for an interview? I can't remember what I included and I would like to send an update.

i don't believe you can... I would send update anyway!

latest II? (+complete date?)
Complete 9/2 really itchin' to hear back

While we're all here twiddling our thumbs... what are some reasons you guys applied to Cincy? I'm IS lived in Columbus forever and most people here have great things to say about Cincy. They've got a sweet program from the looks of it.

My advisor talked me into it, she knew a student who absolutely loves it at Cincinnati. Which tbh is the reason why I applied to my undergrad school too lol. I feel like I always end up at the school I least expect to go to.

soon any girls on here accepted and for sure going to UC next year! trying to find a roommate and the FB group hardly has any members!! 🙂

Girl here and high likelihood I'll be going to UC! I've already started apartment shopping lol.
me too haha!! i originally was thinking of living by myself cause a lot of the girls that go there do but debt will be large enough as is so thinking of getting a roommate!

Yeah same, I kinda wanted to live alone but apartments are so much cheaper when you have room mates, as I'm finding out. And I kinda wanna live in a nicer apartment.

Have you all checked out the housing documents on MedOneStop? There is some good info there (though I still have no clue where to start!)

I did read that, it says to wait until at least May but that is not happening lol I'm way too neurotic. I've basically just been googling apartments in Cincinnati and looking at the ones that are relatively close to the hospital and seem to be in safe areas.

Anyone know when next batch of decisions is coming out? Getting antsy over here!

Sooo do we think the 10/23 group of interviewees will hear back tomorrow? Since the last batch heard two Thursdays ago?

Alternate list. Not too surprised since I did not feel remotely confident about the MMI, but it's better than rejection! Interviewed 10/23. No email yet, just the portal change.

Rejected. 522/3.9, interviewed 10/23. Best of luck to you all, hopefully I'll make it for class of 2021.

I saw last year they sent out a pre-interview hold email... did anyone this year? I looked back and couldn't see any mention...

II today, OOS. Why is Cincinnati so expensive to get to??!?!?! For those of you who have already had interviews, did you actually stay until 5pm?

Had a morning interview, out by 2pm.

Accepted here yesterday!! I absolutely loved the school and the city when I interviewed here- I'm pretty much certain I will be matriculating here next year! OOS, submitted 9/16, II 10/4, interviewed 10/23, LizzyM ~73 (high mcat, decent gpa)

Good luck to everyone and congrats to all of those accepted!

Holy moley, I'm gonna be a doc...

I was part of the second batch that interviewed in the afternoon group on 10/23, and we were done around 5 PM. If you're in the morning group or the first batch of the afternoon group though, you'll probably be done around 4ish

For those neurotic few who have already looked into housing (like me), has anyone looked at apartments just across the river in the Newport, KY area? There seems to be some nicer places there that are less expensive. I am also not sure how that would affect residency status since I am IS, but I am currently in undergrad outside of Ohio and am still considered IS so I don't know if living just across the river would actually be an issue or not.

Also, maybe other people can chime in, but I am operating under the assumption that I will need a car for med school, which allows me to expand my range when looking at apartments. Does anyone know if my assumptions are accurate regarding needing a car here (I am thinking about for the longitudinal preceptorships during M1 and things like that)?

I alway ask about having a car at interviews because I don't even have my driver's license lol.
At Cincinnati they told me that you can maybe get away with not having a car the first two years, if you live close to the school. For years 3&4 they said you definitely need a car.
