Interviewed on 11/4, thought my interviews went great, but I still haven't heard back yet. Know 2 others from my interview day who have already received a letter, one accepted and one waitlisted. Anyone else in the same boat? Or have an idea if a longer wait time means anything one way or another? UMD is my #1 choice 🙂

Same boat here. I'm sure we'll hear soon and I'm hoping that wait time doesn't correlate with decision!

Not exactly, they send an email saying that they received your secondary, but to make sure they have everything else you need to check the portal.

I interviewed mid-November and haven't gotten a letter yet. According to a previous post, the admissions committee was meeting on 12/8 to make decisions about recent interviewees so hopefully we'll be getting letters soon.

Oh wow. That's... interesting. I haven't kept up with how Maryland does things.

So pre-II rejections are done through snail mail, and so are acceptances? Do they call or email if we get an II?

They email and update your portal for interviews.

I have not heard anything back yet, but when I interviewed 11/18 I thought they told everyone to expect a response in four to six weeks. I'm not sure if the holiday season delays this projection or not. Last year when I interviewed 11/5, I received the waitlist letter on 12/5, so we'll see.

I interviewed in November and received an acceptance call last night from Dr. Foxwell. I was expecting a letter in the mail so was surprised to get a call, but from the message it sounded like there was another committee meeting last night. 🙂

I also received an acceptance call from Dr. Foxwell last night! I was also really surprised to get a call (I probably sounded like a total idiot on the phone), and yes, he told me that they just had a committee meeting last evening and letters would come in the mail shortly. For those of your wondering, I interviewed Nov 18.

That is not safe to say. Tons of people do not get a phone call before getting accepted. There is no way that Dr. Foxwell calls everyone (that would be the job of administrative staff, if everyone got called). I think he just calls those whose applications he advocated for.

How do I go about changing the address that I want to have my letters sent to? I have an interview in January and I put my home address on my AMCAS application but I'll be away at school by the time they start sending information about post interview decisions.

Btw, is there any wait list movement on your end? I've been on the wait list for an original copy of The Adventures of Tom Sawyer for a couple years now

First post on SDN... Just wanted to let everyone know that the waitlist actually does move at Maryland. Dr. Foxwell called me earlier this week and told me I was accepted. I interviewed in early October, received a waitlist letter in November, and found out a month later I was accepted. To all those on the waitlist, don't give up hope!

Yay! Congrats! Happy to hear that there's hope before April. Did you do anything between waitlist and the acceptance? (Update, LOI, etc.)
