Only like 2 more weeks!!!!!!! 🙂
Is the date fixed/known?
Only like 2 more weeks!!!!!!! 🙂
According to AMCAS Traffic Rules:
"By March 15 of the matriculation year, each school or program have issued a number of offers of acceptance at least equal to the expected number of students in its first-year entering class and have reported those acceptance actions to the American Medical College ApplicationService (AMCAS)."
That is the date that Penn usually aims to release its decisions but I'm not sure if everyone will hear back on that exact date.
Ugh...Do you think that they will wait until Monday the 14th or spare us the weekend waiting?
My guess is that they will release decisions on the 10th I thinkDo you think that they will wait until Monday the 14th or spare us the weekend waiting?
Oh God...Heard from a current first year that decisions are coming out this week, though I have no way to corroborate
I'm gonna operate under the assumption that this isn't true just so I don't drive myself insane this week hahaHeard from a current first year that decisions are coming out this week, though I have no way to corroborate

I'll only check my email and portal like 14 times a day, it'll be fineLmao good luck actually doing that
In previous years the applicant portal went down for maintenance for a few hours prior to decisions being released. In the 2014-2015 thread people freaked out for a couple hours when it went down because they knew that meant it was decision day. Also, it seems like that date has historically been from around March 11-14th, so I'm not sure if decisions will actually end up being released this week...

I know decisions have not gone out yet, but does anyone know when revisit weekend is?
And like 20 other schools. Yale, Chicago, Vandy, Sinai...eekSame as Wash U

Haha far from it. But I imagine there are plenty of people who have or will (beings that they seem to target similar applicants).Hahaha you make it sound like you got into all those schools
If that's the case, don't stress too much
Huh... I think they got done with MSTP interviews quite a while agoThere were still interviewing last week.
That late?Sorry, was referring to regular MD
Nah, spring break is next week. Everyone will be out of the office... we have an exam tomorrow and they told us we wouldn't get our grades for over a week because "spring break starts the second exams are done".I feel like Thursday or Friday of next week seems like when they might send out our decisions given trends from past years.

Do you think that's possible since they interviewed some students last week?I hope that means today to tomorrow for decisions, not the 14th or 15th. I can't wait either way!

True. And didn't someone say that a first year said decisions would come out this week... Maybe....UVA interviewed Mon-Thurs and would release decisions on Friday. A quick turnaround is certainly possible.

Also post bacc decisions don't have to be released at the same time as regular decisions. Last year they were released at the same time, but they aren't always.Do you think that's possible since they interviewed some students last week?
Last year's spring break was March 7-15, and the year before was March 8-16. If that serves as any indication, I don't think next week is off-limits for decisions.
Edit--to continue the speculation train, decisions have historically come out on the Wednesday or Thursday during spring break, setting us up for potentially either the 9th or 10th.
On interview day, they told us financial awards may not be available before SLW, but that they will try to make it happen. I expect they will give accepted applicants a more up to date estimate of when the awards will be released.Last year financial aid awards/scholarship notification came out before second look. Will it be the same this year even though second look is quite a bit earlier?
I don't know why, but I feel like the next week's wait is going to be the worst or unnerving part of the whole cycle (especially if I don't get in).
