I believe that with a pending MCAT score, they will wait for your August score to come in before reviewing your file. It seems to me that if your app won't be considered until the August score comes in, you would be better off taking your time with the PS and allowing yourself a few more weeks with it, since it shouldn't make a difference if your app is submitted but waiting for a score anyway. But if they tell you that you will get reviewed sooner than that, then 6/30 sounds like a good plan.

I know for sure that Texas A&M will not consider your application complete if there is still a pending score. This stinks because I too will be taking the MCAT in August (I took it in April 2015 and I freakishly scored extremely low in CARS 😳😳😳). I submitted my TMDSAS app on 6/15 but just TODAY all my stuff was transmitted to the schools. I have no pending LORs/grades/transcripts...just the future MCAT score.

Wow really? That sucks! Texas A&M came adcoms came to talk to us and they didn't mention that. I wish they would have!
How did you prepare for the April exam?

That weird they wouldn't say that! It says it on the portal: you basically cannot have any pending MCAT scores.

I will say that my preparation was too scattered. I 100% not regret taking the AAMC practice test in advanced. I took it two days before my MCAT test and it freaked me out so bad because of the one-question at a time format (I was practicing with the old format) ate my time A LOT. Additionally, the passages are like mini research papers!! I felt like I had to re-read the passage twice before I even began to tackle the questions because they were pretty dense. Although everyone is different, I will keep advising people to take the AAMC test practice AND go over it thoroughly well in advance of your MCAT date. For real.

I don't know how many practice MCATs are available for the new version, but I took every single practice MCAT that was available for the old MCAT before I took it, and it definitely paid off. I took one a month before my test date, and then one every two days until the day before my test date.

Hey! Ok so far there is only one full length practice test, question packs and the Khan Academy. I too practiced with the previous version of the MCAT. I started studying late January and ended studying the week of my MCAT. I took a practice full length every two weeks and my score was improving, even my final MCAT score was one point higher than my last practice test, HOWEVER, my scores were crazy uneven, due to the rock bottom CARS section. The first (phys/chem) and last (psych/soc) section were my strongest and highest, the third (bio/biochem) section was luke warm and CARS was like: "HUH? WTF? Did I read the questions in Greek or something??"

I wasn't clear, I took the old MCAT not the new. It sounds like CARS is worse than verbal was.

I also got the 2014-2015 in my Under Review email. It said for the Interview season though, so maybe that is why the date was off. I transmitted 5/13 and got the email 6/25.
 
Any II yet? I looked at last year's thread, and they sent the first round out 7/15 then the next 7/21. Just curious, I won't be getting one any time soon as I just got the under review email today.

TMDSAS transmitted 7/15 Under Review email yesterday 7/27.

This is my dream school!!!!!!

I was transmitted 6/30 and I haven't heard anything yet. I know it's hard, but we just got to stay patient! I think we'll get some good news hopefully soon 🙂

Also 6/30 and also nothing yet 🙁
And I transmitted 7/16 for AMCAS so it's even worse there.

Have you heard anything about interviews this year? First II came out July 10th last year, and there's apparently still no news for anyone this year.

I transmitted about 2 weeks ago and I still haven't received a confirmation email. 🙁

I know that IIs have already to come out. There were interviews last week here at UTH. However, do not worry if you have not heard anything yet. It is VERY early in the process.

Got an interview invite yesterday, under review email was July 6th.
My question for those who also got invites: when you emailed your info to arrange housing, did your email go through? Mine automatically rebounded with this message:
"
Delivery has failed to these recipients or groups:

[email protected]

Your message can't be delivered because delivery to this address is restricted. "
 
Anyone here get an email saying "Thank you for your interest in the Graduate School at University of Houston. This is a friendly reminder that you have not completed your application. Please log in to https://www.applyweb.com/uhouston/ to complete your application and submit it for review."

Totally confused, especially because I'm applying as MD only. FWIW, I'm OOS

TMDSAS was transmitted to school on 6/24; Recieved an email from UTH my application was recieved and under review on 6/26. Haven't heard from UTH since then. :S ..
 
Transmitted 7/21, still haven't even received a confirmation e-mail. I called the admissions office and they said it takes 2-3 weeks for e-mails to go out regarding receipt of materials. 😴
 
@daes92 IS, 3.9/3.88, 38 MCAT. Details like sports and pubs in my mdapps 🙂

If you look under my username there's a series of numbers with a hyperlink. Clicking it redirects you to an SDN associated website called mdapps which allows applicants to anonymously report how their cycle is progressing. It includes fields for your numbers, Undergrad, and your extracurriculars and whatnot. Pretty nifty tool!

II! When I click "interview social information," an error pops up--in the past, is this something that happened at night after the formal interview day? I'm wondering if I should buy plane tickets that would allow me to attend it, but I really don't know what it is haha

Its the night before the interview, usually happens at rice village for a few hours.
