do they send you like a pre interview email? last time i heard from them was the II schedule emailBest of luck. It really is laid back. I really enjoyed the interview day. Also, be prepared to wait. The interview is the last part of the day. And 10 people interviewed in my group with 2 groups of interviewers. So two of us had to wait about 2 hours.

I'm interviewing here on Thursday! I hear that there's a lot of downtime while waiting for your interview (around 1-2 hours). What do you guys recommend I should bring to pass the time? I'm thinking of bringing a book, but nothing along the lines of Harry Potter or Fifty Shades of Grey. Or should I just sit stoically without any personal entertainment and test my patience? Any advise, those who have already interviewed?
I personally talked to the rest of the applicants. They also say you can walk around and explore the building just as long as you come back in time for your interview (sometimes they called people back early so I would stay put). They also had refreshments and coffee ready so it's not too shabby.I'm interviewing here on Thursday! I hear that there's a lot of downtime while waiting for your interview (around 1-2 hours). or the people who interview you? I have heard for other schools you can know the name of the interviewers ahead of time? perhaps thats false?
Just submitted my primary here today. Late in the game I know, but someone suggested I send in an app here. OOS... now regretting spending $37 seeing that they don't accept very many OOS.
Most OOS go to the wait list, but they interview a lot of peopleJust submitted my primary here today. Late in the game I know, but someone suggested I send in an app here. OOS... now regretting spending $37 seeing that they don't accept very many OOS.
In my class it's about 60/40 with a few more IS people. I don't know if it's still that way, it seems like there's more and more OOSers. There's a TON of OOS applicants though so compared to IS it's much less likely to get in as an OOS student. It's still worth the application fee, in my opinion!Someone correct me if I am wrong but their class ends up being split 50/50 IS/OOS. Maybe you meant OOS applicants usually are put on the waitlist first?

eek!! I interview this friday! it'll be my first interview so I am a little nervous! good luck to you! OOS as well!It was quite a privilege to interview here today (OOS). Everyone was super friendly, seems like a good community. Facilities are relatively new, nice and clean. Got interviewed by one of the deans, it was very relaxed and conversational, and even a lot of laughter! Feel free to ask any questions.
I interviewed on Thurs and haven't received the campus survey email. Will call them later today.Did others who interviewed last week get the survey email to rank preferences ? I thought they said it would be sent the next day?
I called and they sent it immediately !I interviewed on Thurs and haven't received the campus survey email. Will call them later today.
From SDN discussion to what I heard on my interview, it seems like they'll rank you and pull you off the waitlist based on rank order that has nothing to do with when you interviewed and everything to do with your actual interview, stats, essays, LOR, and fit.Do they accept off the waitlist in any specific order? For example, if I interviewed in the first few dates and I am wait listed, is it okay to assume that they will definitely reach my name when going off the waitlist? Or do they rank in any specific way? Thank you!
I think that is correct. For some reason I think I remember them saying they don't rank people, at least not initially, but I'm not sure how that works. I'm 96% sure it does not matter when you interviewed though. I'm guessing they reassess the wait list when the interviews are over and make some sort of rank list then. From SDN discussion to what I heard on my interview, it seems like they'll rank you and pull you off the waitlist based on rank order that has nothing to do with when you interviewed and everything to do with your actual interview, stats, essays, LOR, and fit.
you are scored by the admissions committee. if above a certain score then its an automatic acceptance. if below, then waitlist. acceptance off the waitlist has to do with your rank based on the overall score you received by the adcom.Do they accept off the waitlist in any specific order? For those of you who have interviewed here already, how long does the interview day last and what does the itinerary look like?
Thanks to everyone who has posted about the interview so far! I am going on Monday for mine and you guys basically answered all of my questions. Although, I was wondering if anyone who got there early did any activities? I am doing the Med Stay, but he won't be home until 5 so I am looking for things to do. I know there are a lot of hiking trails, but my luck I will get lost or fall off a cliff so I'd like to stay away from that for the time being.
Regular decision? What day did you interview?Accepted !!!just now .
