I didn't even have time to make the announcement myself. But yes, we've changed the application status page to be cleaner, easier to read, and more mobile-friendly. All of the same information is still there.

If you have some kind of technical issue with the new status page, like weird codes in place of messages or you think a section of data is missing or appears when it shouldn't, please email iapplysupport {at] case dot edu.

Quick feedback on the new layout can be posted in this thread. There will be a more organized way of collecting detailed feedback in the near future.

Some feedback - it would be really nice if there was some kind of email update when our statuses change. I applied to a ton of schools, so I easily could have missed my interview invite! Also now I'm neurotically logging into my other portals all the time...

How I know the school receive the CASPer Test?

There are email updates for status changes. The issue with email notifications is that any address that sends out a large number of very similar looking emails on a regular basis can be mistaken for a spambot. We try what we can to make sure everyone receives our emails, but email providers change the rules and algorithms for spam detection fairly frequently. This year, Hotmail in particular has been very aggressive about marking emails from iApply as spam, as an example.

We suggest checking your portal on a regular basis because of the issues with email notifications and spam filters.

That's odd - nothing ever showed up in my spam box, and I am not the only person in this thread who got an II or rejection via portal only. Oh well, glad I did see it!

Hi there! I noticed the layout was changed today. I previously had a letter from the a College Program stating I would not be receiving an interview but now that's gone and the most recent status update is just "your file was marked complete xxx day."

I just wanted to make sure that any status change received before the update was still true and I'm not actually still under consideration for the college program. Thank you!
 
When is it appropriate to submit an update letter through the portal? I got an II, and I thought maybe I should tell them about my summer research and my new gap year job before my interview in late September.
 
II this morning!! So excited to hear back from Case. This is definitely in my list of top schools. University track (didn't apply CC) LizzyM 75. Complete 7/19

Stats: MCAT 519, GPA 3.93, complete 7/11 for both

It was kind of funny because I got an email saying that the iApply page had changed, and that I would have better access to information for my "coming visit," even though I hadn't gotten any info from admissions about interview offers. I emailed them to ask about it, and they said whoops, we got your email because College program wanted to interview, but University program hadn't reviewed it yet. So basically I got an unofficial offer last night before I got the formal email this morning. Either way, I was very excited to hear the news!
 
Any current students comment on what they think/love about this school?

The more I learn about it the more I begin to love it.

I'm only applying to the MSTP. Can someone please tell me which essay prompts I'll have to answer, as I haven't received the secondary yet? Will I need to complete the University Track essays as well as any MD/PhD essays?
 
Hello everyone, I have a quick question, I have heard that CWRU focuses a lot on research. I have good stats (4.00/513), but not really any good research experiences (no publications/posters/projects competed). Would that lower my chances of getting an interview or getting an acceptance?

I have 0 formal research experience, still got an II. Stats 3.9/521.

I briefly explained why I chose not to do formal research and described a big med education project that still intimately involved understanding the scientific process. Edit: The exact prompt is a couple posts above. They define research endeavors broadly, so if you don't have any formal research either, maybe you can find something similar to discuss

But when I checked there was nothing changed?! It was still marked as complete (7/12) and not any rejection or II. Anyone else got this this morning?

That's weird that Dr. Franco signed it, she's associate dean for CCLCM, not Case's program. I haven't received a status update email.
 
Received the same letter, and my status did change. Now I've been UN-rejected by CCLCM lol... I'm sure it's just a mistake on their end though so I'm just going to move on from this and start preparing for my other interviews.

Same. It must be due to the new upgrade of their system. I'm still assuming I'm rejected from CCLCM.
 
For those of you that got IIs, does anyone know where the link for Student Hosting went after the iApply update? Can't seem to find it anywhere

Did anyone just get the "your status has been changed" email? I checked my portal and it looks the same.

Jusy so you know, I was rejected from CCLCM on Saturday, but the website says that I was rejected on 8/5. But I've been checking religiously and it was never updated until just a few days ago.
 
Complete 8/3, logged into portal today, saw status update from 8/14 declining interview for university track. No update from CCLCM.

@CWRU_iApply_Dev there's a link I can click on to view my status message for the university track that leads to a server error message, not sure if that's something you're aware of
 
Rejected from college program today, nothing from university. Complete mid july
 
rejected university track. complete early august.
