To backpack, does anyone know the typical range they tell people at interviews for when they'll hear back?

It just depends on when the committee meets, they should tell you when you are there when you will hear back!

It is exactly as it says lol you can get one at any time between now and February.. I have been on hold for 2 months but @Ayy_MadScientist was on hold 25-30 days. Everyone app is different

I was "on hold" for 6 days so it really depends.

I am not sure if everyone gets this status, but I wouldn't coordinate scheduling a trip to see your family with doing your interview until after you get the II! Good luck!

is it that the adcom is meeting today (7th) and decisions will be sent out tomorrow (8th)? I'm sorry for being so nitpicking, I'm just wondering whether i should be religiously checking my email this evening or if i should hold off on the anxiety until tomorrow...

i swear i was never like this before the whole application process 😳

Yes I believe that adcom is meeting today! It seems more likely to me that decisions will be sent out tomorrow, but that still won't stop me from checking my email all day ! I know some schools make calls on the same day as the meetings so I guess we just wait and see. But no worries the cycle gets to us haha!

That's correct! Meeting today, decisions tomorrow. They said we will get a phone call for acceptances and a email for everything else. Good luck tomorrow!

Could be. I think I recall them saying we'd hear back Tuesday as well, I'm just looking back at the 10/16 posts. Maybe it was different for their batch.

As far as I know there is one interview date in December, which makes sense as classes are done the second week. Interviews start up again in January.

Wait list is the list they pull from when applicants withdraw applications/seats open up. A hold is a step below that, as one must first get onto the wait list and then be accepted in order to get in...so basically it's a rejection, and you probably won't hear anything at all until May

I'm sure this question has been answered earlier sorry for that but how long after being "under review" did you all hear about an interview? I've been in the preliminary review for about 5 weeks now. I know it says it could take up to 8 weeks but I didn't know if that was typical. Thanks 🙂

I think it's normal, I was under review for pretty much the full 8 weeks before I got the interview pending status!
