Hofstra vs. Stony Brook?
To be honest, I liked Hofstra much better than Stony Brook. Newer facilities, smaller class size, affiliation to Northwell Health (huge health system) and a more integrated curriculum makes me lean towards Hofstra. That being said, what factors are important for you when choosing a school? Cost? Research opportunities? Are you IS or OOS? As for residency matches, both schools are on par with one another.

I am also leaning towards Hofstra. I want to know if there is any significant reason to choose SB. I am IS, but the difference in tuition costs is't very significant.

Hi All
Thank you all. I got accepted into NYU. I am very grateful to Hofstra for accepting me into their school. But I regret to say I won't be joining Hofstra even though it is an excellent school due to personal preference.

Wish u all the best.

This was a bit unexpected, but I was just accepted off the WL! At the moment, I am committed to Netter (Quinnipiac) and will take some time to decide between the two schools.

can any current or past student comment on how accurate the yearly expenditure budget is that financial aid sets?

Accepted off the waitlist today!! Will most likely be attending, sent in my deposit right away.

After some thought and discussion, I will be attending Hofstra this coming fall! Best of luck to those still waiting!

Sorry if this has been asked before, but is financial aid info available? And if so, where can I find it?
