A Hold is like a waitlist but for pre-II. It means they are interested in you, but they are looking for more qualified students (i.e someone who has exceptional stats or aligns with the school's missions and values) at the moment.

Did you happen to see if you were put on hold via portal before getting the email? Just wondering if the pre-interview hold that some people have been getting ultimately results in an interview or the opposite (not having a status update before leads to an II). Thanks and congrats!

Thanks. I actually have no idea what my status was before receiving the invite, sorry. I never got a chance to look.

Just wondering:

Complete = "Your application fee payment or AMCAS fee waiver approval was received and your secondary application has been successfully submitted." Status?
 
CONGRATS guys! Did you see the II via portal or did y'all get an email? Also would you mind sharing your complete date?

+1, only secondary submitted late July (7/26). Received an email. Finally my first one and very happy because this school is one of my top 3! Congrats to the other II peeps too. I'm going it late September, so maybe we'll run into each other? 🙂
 
I just contacted the CASPer team. Results still have not been released to schools. I was told they'd be released in a few days

My portal never changed as I checked in the morning and it still said app submitted currently under review and Then I just got an email!

For anyone curious, it seems the portal changes if you get an II email. There'll be a gray button under the interview subsection to pick your date, and after that it shows a confirmation screen and kicks you back to the NYMC home page. The confirmation mentioned they'll send email reminders closer to your interview date. So it definitely updates.
 
Totally missed this, but my application was placed on hold on 7/25, there's this tiny blurb about it under "Secondary Application and Committee Review". Don't know if it's because I haven't taken CASPer yet, or other reasons. We shall see, I guess!

I have "Your secondary application was completed by the Office of Admissions and is currently under review by the Committee on Admissions." in my portal. No completion email. Complete late July and did CASPer on July 26, but no hold or II yet... just hanging out :whistle:

You didn't miss it. They retroactively put that there. I check every week and never saw it until a few days ago.

I submitted my secondary over a month ago (mid-July) and also took CASPer earlier this month. My secondary still has not been processed. Is anybody else having this issue? It may because I used the fee assistance program, and I sent the email to use the waiver, but nothing has happened! Sent them another email today. 🙁

I figured they take a while since there's so many applications. It does say they will process the waiver in 2-3 days though so that's what got me worried. I guess I'll hang on tight then! Thanks!
