What does the "additional info tab" look like? Screenshot, anyone?
It will be giant blue tab next to "Interview," "Profile," etc. that says "Additional Info." You won't be able to miss it 🙂
Just to clarify - no one has gotten the additional info tab recently, right? Like, before they've gotten a email and/or a packet in the mail notifying them of an acceptance?

Wait so has anyone recently received a snail mail acceptance but no email?Yeah, I think the 'additional info' glitch has been fixed. The most recent people to be accepted reported getting an email first instead of additional info -> snail mail acceptance.
Edit: actually it looks like people are still being notified via snail mail, just without the AI tab first
Wait so has anyone recently received a snail mail acceptance but no email?
The additional info tab showed for me after my acceptance letter was mailed back and they received my deposit. The only information under the additional info tab is a field to update your SSN.Just to clarify - no one has gotten the additional info tab recently, right? April 30th and after onlyI know that they don't accept update letter but will they accept LOI after interview?

When did you receive II? Were you put on hold?Attended Interview on Feb 17 and enjoyed it. They are expanding with new facilities.
They seem to be changing the forms/website. I had to put in SSN when I scheduled my Interview ( couple weeks ago).
When did you receive II? Were you put on hold?
I interviewed 12/21, but I remember the admissions office saying that you shouldn't reach out until it hits 10 weeks, 10 days, and 10 hours.Anyone from 12/7 hear back yet? It'll be 11 weeks on Wednesday, so now that it's past 10 weeks, I have no idea what to expect. What's the longest it's taken some of you to hear back?

For anybody else who has been put on hold post interview, do you know if they accept LOI?
April 30th and after only
Hold email this morning around 9am, treating it like a rejection at this point
Received a pre-II hold this morning. Should I be hopeful this late into the cycle?
Question for folks who interviewed here: On secondary application they said something about the new clinical campus (State College) attendees receiving reduced tuition...did I get this right? Is there an advantage in selection this option as the top choice? Any insight would be much appreciated. I'm interviewing here in Mid March
Yes this is true. The tuition at UP will be identical to that at Hershey, but as you mention there will be a 50% scholarship for students entering in the class next year, in addition to free housing (that is actually quite nice). The UP Program is generously funded from a variety of sources such as the American Medical Association and various governmental bodies which want us to gather the best medical students possible for our innovative curriculum to succeed, and these are two of many perks of the program.
I email admissions office with this question and they said "Regarding changes, updates and/or letters of interest, all applications are judged on the original submission. Only official transcripts can be accepted as updates at this time." So I guess that's a no...For anybody else who has been put on hold post interview, do you know if they accept LOI?
Thank you!The representative for the UP curriculum elaborated on this topic a little bit on page 24 at the bottom.
So...this bears the question...how do they select students for the regional campus vs. Hershey? wouldn't everyone prefer the reduced tuition and regional campus?Um, wow..... I didn't know that! Thanks for sharing 🙂

Just an additional question: If you get in to the regional campus, can you switch later on?No. Most people do not prefer this campus. I recently interviewed and the vibe I got from most students is Hershey is the preferred location. Admin barely even mentioned the university park program, unfortunately. The students actually said anyone who wants to do their rotations at university park gets in because nobody wants to do it. I asked more about this because I am definitely interested in the program. I was told that there aren't as many specialty rotations, and overall "good" rotations as the main Hershey campus. Students who want to pursue family med or primary care would have a great university park experience, but those who want to pursue more competitive fields would be disadvantaged. Caveat: I do not know how true any of these statements are. Only the messenger

I'm not sure where you got this information, but I want to clarify a few things. I'm guessing the Hershey student you talked to was telling you about the rotations that 3rd and 4th year Hershey students have been coming up to University Park to do for the past few years. While there seems to be some misinformation about how that works, it is a fairly different setup than the University Park program to which we are currently selecting applicants. The University Park program, distinct from what that student was talking about, is a full, four-year program in University Park which has not been done before (aside from MSDP piloting this year). There are absolutely as many specialty rotations, and you will actually be spending more time in clerkship roles seeing patients, not less. A major difference is that in Hershey rotations start during third year, whereas at University Park, our hybrid longitudinal integrated clerkships (LICs) will start in the first year and continue forward. The University Park program, just like Hershey, is not specifically aimed towards family med or primary care and we envision a wide variety of specialty outcomes for our students. Of the MSDPs who will join as part of the first class, we have interests in family med, internal med, heme/onc, psychiatry, aerospace medicine, etc. The Match lists for the students who did spend their MS3-MS4 years at University Park the past few years--which again is a fairly different curriculum than the University Park program to which pre-MS1s are currently applying--is available online and I would be happy to send it to you. Competitive specialties have not and will not be categorically disadvantaged.No. Most people do not prefer this campus. This is correct. We are currently in the process of selecting a subset of those students who are already accepted to Hershey to come to University Park. Once a student matriculates to the University Park program, we do not envision that they will switch, and vice versa.Nope, you cannot switch after you matriculate to a particular program.
