I interviewed in August and am still waiting. I called the office but the lady just said that even though I was told I would hear the 15th, it can be any time from the 15th onwards.

Give it a week. They don't do it in order of interview date.

2 weeks for anyone who interviewed around or after October 15 it seems. Any that were interviewed before then can expect response in the next week or 2.

I cant seem to find any rejections on last years SDN in october...do they just wait and reject people much later?

I never received one so I emailed about a month ago to ask if they received everything and they said they did. It seems that they don't typically send compete emails, but if you sent everything I would stay calm and trust that they've received all your materials

That being said, it doesn't hurt to call and make sure. Problem solved and probably ease of mind.

The faculty interview is open file, but the student interview (or atleast mine) was a closed file..so a mix of both!

My student interview was open as well. Just depends on if student wants to read your file or not.

You didn't sign up for one? It's part of the interview schedule you signed up in.

Hey to all the people freaking out about not receiving a call post interview...they told everyone who interviewed my day that we would hear back within two weeks. I did but the other person I interviewed with heard back close to a month later and this was ED (we all got in). I do not think there is any real correlation between when you interview and when you hear back it all depends on how quickly your faculty interviewer writes their letter to the ADCOM.

Also, the number that calls you is always a "private caller" or "no caller id" and it is always Dr. Heinrich....If you get the call it is going to be good news; they send rejections by email.

Some have. Won't have effect on your decision but if you choose to have one, it does carry weight.

My interview lasted ~75 minutes and was conversational towards the end. The majority of the interview consisted of the interviewer asking straightforward questions. Always prepare for the possibility of being asked an ethical question.

the tour might be before the interview depending on which group you're in. you would also get a chance to talk to medical students as well

I'm wondering this as well. I haven't heard a thing and I interviewed at the beginning of September. Felt like I nailed the interview but of course there are factors that we don't have control over. Goosfraba my friend. Goosfraba.

I know im just getting frustrated at schools telling me to expect to hear back on a certain day and then I hear nothing for weeks following that day...I wish the process was more transparent and everything wasnt such a mystery
