I wonder how long it takes the portal to update. In the application summary, it is blank even though I submitted today. I did not pay because I have the fee waiver (instructions for FAP applicants were confusing to me; it said to email admissions in the secondary, and on the final page it says you are complete if you have the fee waiver; I emailed just in case), so I am guessing that seeing an update will take a couple of business days to see any changes. Will try to provide update in case someone is in a similar boat
Quick question to anyone. I received a complete email but when I check the application summary, the note tabs says "LOR - PDF Load" for the recommendation letters, "CC" for the application fee and "Supplemental Load Process" for the secondary application but none of the tabs say anything under status. Is this normal?
Congrats! Mind sharing stats / OOS or IS applicant/ went there undergrad or not? just wondering with such an early invite

But I did write very authentically maybe that helped. Write at the middle school level with clear and directs words and back every statement up.

Did you receive an email when you were complete? Everything in the "status check" is filled out (LORs received, supplemental application received, etc.), but the column for 'Status' is blank.
Hmm I don't see a column for status... would you mind pointing me in the right direction??

I am so confused. When I go to my portal, it has the status' on the right hand column but there is nothing there… It's just blank

This school has horrible out of state chances post-interview! Last year showed 130 OOS interviews with only 7 matriculants. Why would they put me thru an MMI to then waitlist me??

At least you have the II already. I'm IS and in full on "waiting with baited breath" mode. Of course, I was marked complete 7/26 so I imagine it'll be weeks at minimum if I'm going to hear anything. I'd love to attend this school, though. And I really like upstate NY.
Actually the dean told us last year that after you make it to the interview point, everyone has the same chances regardless of location of residence. I think they had so low OOS matriculants because of applicants' choice.I actually received the email then checked and saw the portal. Weird

Also, remember most OOS that get accepted to this school most likely have even better chance of getting accepted to their own state school, which means they ultimately dont matriculate to SUNY upstate. Hence such a low matriculation rate for OOS isn't surprising

I picked September 7! They seem to be doing mondays and wednesdays, mostly.
I was complete July 20! I only got the update through the portal, and I didn't check it yesterday. Could have gotten it then.

Agreed. I didn't even get my email confirmation of my interview date and time until 6 hours after submitting the selection

just curious, does anyone know if this school do silent rejections?
I wonder if SUNY-U considers Canadian students "out of state". According to the MSAR, they only interviewed 5/494 international students and 3 matriculated.
It's weird that I know who the 2 that didn't matriculate are... #TooMuchTimeOnSDN
