Does anyone know how many people are usually accepted off the waitlist each year on average?

I don’t know if anyone knows, UK doesn’t release those numbers. However, I did find this message below from a current M4 from earlier in the thread. I know it’s not exactly what you’re looking for, but hopefully helps some.
Historically, a good portion of the class has been pulled from the waitlist. I know people in my class who got in from the waitlist after interviewing on some of the last dates, although this was 2014 so it may be different now. I think if you're still interested in coming here, it's definitely worth keeping your interview. This happens every year. For whatever reason, they fill the class pretty early.

UK made the official switch to pass/fail all 4 years. The wording also makes it seem like its unranked but don't quote me on that part. If people are having trouble picking schools this could help!
Is this official? i've seen people state this but have seen no official announcement about it... Can you cite your source of this knowledge? Thanks!

I was told during my interview that it was pass fail

Did you receive an official email or any mail very shortly after your call?
When I was accepted I got a letter about. Week later. Some people mentioned getting. Emails I never did

Okay, thanks! I'm just wondering because I received an acceptance today via phone, but I only have until Tuesday to decide and accept

O yeah, I would call admissions to make sure then, their email correspondence has been sketchy for some people.

Congrats! What time did you receive the call?

Thank you! 🙂 It was around 3:30 central time. It was honestly very unexpected!
I was getting worried...we hadn’t seen any movement Wednesday and all day today. So I’ll take that as a good sign haha hopefully it picks up!

Does anyone know/think there will be anymore alternate list movement? I'm REALLY hoping to get in here!

I think Bowling Green is full but the students that were excepted off the alternate list last week have until tomorrow to decide

I’m only interested in Lexington’s campus, but keeping my fingers crossed! I’m in-state, but I’m not sure if that’ll help or hurt me haha

Keep the faith!!! From the looks of last year’s thread people were still being accepted into late may. My fingers are crossed for you.

Does anyone know if there is a dress code for class at UK for the college of medicine? I know some schools require business casual while others allow you to wear whatever. Just curious! Thanks!

I sat in on a class and the students were dressed casual, not sure of the official rules though

Nope! A dress code sounds super lame. Plenty of people here in their yoga pants.

You do have to dress up if you shadow or work with the SPs and wear your mark of ineptitude (aka the short white coat). And of course, you dress up during your clinical years if you're not in scrubs.

Has anyone sent a letter of interest here? Are they receptive to that type of thing? Just got an acceptance at my state school but this is my top choice, would really love to go here!

Absolutely do it! It will never hurt you if anything it shows your eagerness to attend! I would

How about supplies list, I’ve been wanting to purchase small bits at a time but everyone says to wait. Any idea when they provide that?

Does anyone think/know if there will be anymore waitlist movement?

Thank you so much!!
I think someone on this thread mentioned UK doesn’t require a deposit so people might be holding their spots longer. I had friends that were getting in the 2nd and 3rd week of June last year.
If the movement this year is anything like last year, it’s not quite panic time just yet lol but this waiting is killing me

is it safe to say waitlist movement is finished?

Id say it’s never fully official until the day school starts. But if your still holding out there is no harm in calling up admissions and letting them know your willing to jump in one week out if any last minute students bail out.
But if there is anymore movement it’s likely to be scarce.

I sure hope you're right. There is nothing I want more than to get into this school!
