Nah, we know that. It's just that historically decisions have been released a few days prior to the "official" date.

I was trying to see what time people started posting about acceptances and waitlists last year, but it was to no avail. Posts that old appear to be only labeled with the date and not time.

Actually it shows the time if you hover your cursor over the date. Seems like last year it was around 4:30.

Ok. No problem. Just figured I would ask. It's really not a big deal. I'll have my answer in less than 72 hours, I've been waiting since October so what's 3 days lol.

I thought they told us they didn’t email ... just snail mail plus whatever official update to the portal.

Last year when I was waitlisted, my second email notifying me about my acceptance had my acceptance right in the email.

I’m not sure if a consensus was ever reached ... lol. I did receive the message, haven’t done FAFSA yet, and interviewed in December.

Interviewed in Sept. Got it before submitted fafsa (though Pitt was added to it). Considering that at least one of each variable (+/- submitted fafsa, interview late/early, etc) received it, I don’t think your situation matters. I do think it is good news, but good news could mean Acceptance OR 1st Tier-WL. I think it’s only the former, but we will see.

I don't think so. They told us at interviews that they would release decisions on 1/31. On their website they say Jan 30, but in prior years they've released them a couple days before.
