Is the latest we would hear back be early March or by the end of March? I know I talked to some people who heard back in like April or May but maybe they interviewed later? I'm worried everyone who interviewed in December has heard back already.

I know I'm splitting hairs but I stopped acting with any kind of restraint and have accepted my neurosis a long time ago lol.

Rejected today for Spokane TRUST. Not surprised after my interview performance but still disappointed. Good luck to everyone still in the running and congratulations to those already accepted!

Rejected today for TRUST but SUC for regular MD admissions.

I think we have to hear back by 3/15, for AMCAS. Maybe April may were waitlists.

Isn't there a certain date by which medical schools are required to have given out at least as many acceptances as they plan for matriculants? So they can still offer acceptances after that deadline (from a waitlist or directly after an interview, though for UW's method it seems April/May would be from a WL). But if they expect x matriculants they must have given at least x acceptances out by a certain date. For UW's method of SUCing until the end, that means they'd have to have their big review meeting by that date as I expect they don't give out 'enough' acceptances until that final meeting. I'm not sure if 3/15 is the date for this AMCAS requirement, or if this is even a thing at all (dreams vs reality have become pretty blurred these days), but it sounds like something I've heard before, somewhere...

Edit: Ah! It's true.

Excellent thanks. It seems like UW's website shows conflicting information as they state: "Sometime between March 10 and March 31, the Executive Committee meets for two to three days to make final decisions on those Washington and out-of-region applicants who are still “under consideration”."

Yes, 3/15 is the national deadline for med schools to release enough acceptances to fill their class.

From last years thread (bc come one, we are all crazy like that) 3/3-3/10 were dates ppl knew about their WL spots and last acceptances went out. There was a lot of WL movement mid April to May

Accepted yesterday to Montana TRUST!

I went to sleep in the morning because I work nights. When I woke up at 4:30pm, there were no new calls or voicemails on my phone, so I assumed that I had been rejected. I was in the middle of writing an email to the physician who recommended me telling him the bad news, but that I was still going to be a doctor some day, just not a Husky. My phone rang at 5pm sharp and the caller ID was from the city that one of my interviewers was from. I answered the phone and was instructed to start looking for housing in Bozeman. :soexcited:

Do trust decisions go out before the rest? Asking for a friend

Congratulations on your TRUST acceptance!!!

I was told at the interview day and by the students at the reception the night before that everybody would hear on Friday.

My friend heard from his interviewer he would hear back this weekend, no exact day.

If his interviewer told him that specifically, then its probably a safe bet then. Some of them might have had other obligations on Friday. That said, my excom member was from Washington and had to go back to Seattle, and he was not the one who called me. It was one of the other two who were from Montana. So, you'd think if someone couldn't call on Friday, they'd pass the duty off to someone who can. Maybe that particular interviewer just really enjoys calling the applicants themselves though.

Sounds legit. There’s just a point where I wonder if silence = rejection...

I've heard of two people with non-trust acceptances but mostly silence the applicants I know. My friends both didnt hear till Tuesday last year. The only consistent thing that I've heard is that acceptances come via call (either your interviewers or other students will call) and rejection comes via email.

Also was accepted to the MT TRUST cohort yesterday!so so excited 🙂 Anyone have the Facebook group link?

Congrats! Let me know what it is if you come across it. I don't even have facebook, but may be enticed into creating one for this occasion.

Nah, I thought week was more appropriate. Bc lets be real, it is gonna be wk.

@BABSstudent @Optikala and any other current students:

I recently received the email asking to RSVP to Second Look. I don't see anything on the invite about bringing people, but if you guys attended, was it OK to bring spouses/significant others?

When do you guys think we will hear back?
My money is anywhere from next Thursday to the 16th. Seems to be consistent with last year and what is required by AAMC. Speaking of AAMC I get WAY too many emails from them asking for money. Like where did you misplace the literal thousands of dollars I just gave you?

Last year there was one last SUC round in late Feb (and one reported reject), but since they haven’t had any Seattle interviews recently they might not have any more SUCs and just wait until the final meeting. I’m predicting 3/9...

@catsarewhereitsat and others who heard through the grapevine about the last meeting: do you think you’ll hear rumors again before the final meeting, or was that a one-off gossip chain last time?

Sadly I think it was just a one-off 🙁 The provider was like "oh hey have you heard back? There's supposed to be a meeting on this day!" I don't know how they got their info, but not brave enough/chummy enough to ask if they have more intel.

I had this same question but I haven't gotten an email to RSVP to Second Look. Is it only for students who are currently holding multiple acceptances?

I have multiple acceptances but haven’t gotten an invite to RSVP for a second look yet.

From what I understand, Second Look is for all accepted students. They mention Second Look in your acceptance email. They may just be spacing out RSVP emails, I don't know.

It’s okay to bring people with you. There are less things for them but it is a nice way to get significant others a chance to meet each other.

Not yet. It's all about patience I guess.

I don’t have mine either, but then again they haven’t received my background check results (gets released today). I read in an old thread that UW in general (not the medical school) has to create the Email addresses so it can take some time.

I got my background check completed through a different school that accepted me before... will it automatically sent it to UW or do I have to request it get sent again somehow?

UW sent me a “release” form to sign. That allowes them to access the background check that the other schools have.
