Got the email today that says this "Your application has been reviewed by the admissions committee, and it will be periodically compared to other applications for competitiveness. If you are selected for an interview, we will contact you by email." There's more but the rest is not relevant for these purposes. Has anyone had success after reading this email? Is it basically a soft rejection?
I got this as well and I am wondering about the implication as well.

I received the same email a couple of months ago. Since then I have gotten an interview.

Do you know approximately how long it was from you getting that email to getting an interview invite? I got that same email today as well

I got this a bit ago, and wondering if this is a real hold (means we're still considered) rather than a soft R.

Also, is this a good time to update them? I won't have much to update until later in the year.

for those applying here (esp to new campus) literally the school was just put on heightened monitoring so it is still up in the air if knoxville will be accredited.

Just look at this school's shady history with their law school.

Heightened monitoring= 2 steps above probation.- google "coca actions"

Be wary before accepting. They never mention this stuff at deans hours this year but apparently the class ahead of mine had lots of board failures (the current third years) and they are trying to fix out board schedule but who knows how that will go

According to COCA, there are 12 standards of accreditation, and "heightened monitoring" entails being non-compliant of 1 or 2 of these standards. Do you know if there is a way to find out which ones they are non-compliant?

And seeing that MSU-COM (considered as one of the best DO schools in country) was also recently placed under this label, I honestly don't think it's anything too serious. Seems like more of a "heads up memo" to the school if anything. And COCA doesn't review these schools until 4 years later anyway, versus 7 years for schools with normal accreditation.

What time did the day end for those that have interviewed?

What time did the day end for those that have interviewed?

Hey there! They should have sent you an email to confirm your interview but my day began at 9 (arrive at 8:30-8:50 though) and the day ended at 2:30 (but if you decided to go on an optional housing tour, it is longer). Hope this helps🙂

you all who are talking about being approved for different campuses - is this post interview or what? What does this mean?

Thanks for the encouragement.Hopefully I will receive some good news soon. Good luck with the interview.
Absolutely! I actually interviewed here already and was waitlisted, again total crapshoot. Especially after hearing they have a high post interview acceptance rate. With your stats, I wonder if some DO schools are thinking you will apply/matriculate to higher tier programs and MD schools...

What is the post-interview acceptance rate here? Still waiting on an interview.

Hey guys, I sent in my primary application on Oct 22nd. Im a canadian applicant. Havent received an invitation for sec. Did i apply too late?

yes it says verified in AACOMAS
There is no secondary application to fill out, but rather just the additional essay you completed on the AACOMAS application for LMU-DCOM. So make sure you paid the secondary fee for the application/secondary to be considered completed on their end. It will give you a link on their specific application in AACOMAS.

Ohh that makes sense. I didn't know that thank you!

Still hoping for interview invite!! Stats in line with those who have been accepted in past. I just got the email mention above about application being complete and will be periodically reviewed. Hoping it isn’t the email of application death.

Hey do you mind sharing stats? I was marked complete around the same time!
My stats are pretty mediocre 🙁 3.2 for cGPA and sGPA. And 503 on the MCAT. Buttttt I have 6 years of patient care as an EMT under my belt and currently work at a trauma center as a tech. Plus I have other things like a bio preceptorship and noted all my weird hobbies like judo and acting on my app. Guess I’m well rounded in EC aspects. Plus I’m super motivated towards the rural aspect (this school is my number one choice) because dad grew up on a rural Appalachian farm and we go all the time ^___^

I think you will have a good shot at an II here because they really do look at the whole application. Not only that, but there have been students who have already interviewed that had lower stats than what you have right now. So I wish you good luck! If you have any questions, feel free to message me.
