The real question is whether a hold here is a good thing like at gw or a bad thing Like everywhere else
I haven't seen anyone on SDN go from SC --> interview. I believe everyone on SDN that received an interview went from SS --> interview. I'm taking my SC as a hold. I could be wrong, but that's the impression I am getting.
hey guys, any out of state peeps receive an interview invite after being in SS? I've been in SS since Sept. 4.
Literally everyone who hasn't yet received an II gets put on hold at GW lmao. They haven't sent out any Rs yet
Do you know when they usually start sending rejections?
+1 lmaojust chilling here with my ss still
A hold at GW is a good thing? But they put everyone on hold :/The real question is whether a hold here is a good thing like at gw or a bad thing Like everywhere else
It’s a good thing in that it’s not a soft R. For most schools a hold is basically an R. There’s still a chance of an II at gwA hold at GW is a good thing? But they put everyone on hold :/
+1 MR, Complete 9/4Anyone complete post labour day at SS or SC yet? Mine submitted sept 13 because of a mistake in my LORs. Still MR. Canadian. LizzyM ~78.

Lol I guess it’s so super secret even admissions people outside of adcoms don’t know what it meansJust so everyone knows, I spoke with admissions and they explained that the MR, SS, and SC code system is brand new and they have no idea how it works in terms of interviews. It's just a reference marker of where your application is and they explained that multiple sorting systems are used so SS and SC don't mean the same for everyone essentially.
Wait, sorry if this is redundant, but my application went from MR to SS and it says "Med school in Process"...what does that mean?
yuh+1 lmao
when were you complete?Wait, sorry if this is redundant, but my application went from MR to SS and it says "Med school in Process"...what does that mean?

That's odd. We did our student interviews there.Alright so I interviewed yesterday and was told that I would do my student interview over skype. Does anyone have information on this?
Accepted via email at around 1 today!!! Interviewed 9/28

What was the interview like? Any tips?Alright so I interviewed yesterday and was told that I would do my student interview over skype. Does anyone have information on this?
The mmi was very straightforward and my faculty interview was extremely laid back, just like having a friendly conversation. Unfortunately, I can’t say how the student interview was. What was the interview like? Any tips?

I didn't have a Detroit tour... 🙁My 9:45 interview ended at like 4ish. It was super long though we did a Detroit tour and a mini med school tour.
Nope just regularCongratulations! Were you early decision?
No! Still says “Med School invite to interview”Has your portal changed yet?
My interview was scheduled 7:45 am - 4pmCan anyone who has interviewed already shed some light on the chronology of the interview? The admissions website says the following are components of interview day:
Is this the order of events for the day?
- A long-form interview conducted by up to two admissions interviewers
- Five, multiple mini-interviews (MMIs) conducted by Community Partners
- Lunch with current Wayne State University School of Medicine students
- A tour of the school
- An interview with a current medical student
I wore heels and I was a little sore at the end but not awful. You are shuttled around between buildings and for the Detroit tour so the only walking you really do is within the buildings. As long as you wear sensible sized heels you should be good to go!Quick question (mostly directed at my fellow lady applicants).... Interview shoes? I’m less than 5 feet tall so I was planning on wearing heels to make myself look a little less like a child, but with a campus tour I might be dying by the end.
Those of you that have interviewed already, is there a lot of walking or are you literally shuttled around?
