I wonder how Wright State screens for interviews. There wasn't a whole lot of wiggle room in the secondary

Do you know if the secondary application character count includes spaces? 250 characters is not a lot of room to adequately explain anything.

Hello there, 🙂

Could you please tell me if the secondary application character count includes spaces and grammatical characters like commas?

Their secondary doesn't really have any essays but sorry I filled it out a long time ago and can't access it anymore so I'm not sure. I'm pretty sure it did include commas and spaces though.

Spaces count. Did it this week. Hoping to get an II in the next 2 months considering the turnaround before me.

I was marked complete and still have not heard back. did anyone have to check your portal or were you emailed regarding updates?

Have they started sending interviews here already? Im in state and heard from some other ohio schools but not here. Really trying to stay in Ohio so hoping to hear back from all the in state ones.

Anyone else know of any other interviews that were sent out besides the one's reported last week or so?

If you're marked complete then that means your application is under review. Don't be worried that you haven't heard anything else yet. The next step is if they offer you an interview, which can happen anywhere between now and February.

FWIW there were only a handful of people at my interview and I recall this school giving out IIs pretty late in the cycle so theres still hope for people who submitted early.

Until now I have largely just been excited about finally being able to apply to medical school...

...now, I am officially getting antsy waiting for an interview.

Problem is, I don't even know if they've looked at mine yet as I completed on 8/6.

It's going to be a LONG application season...

Honey, you've got a big storm commin.

Yeah, but in all seriousness, waiting is the worst part of this process.

Haha! I know, right?

My friend finished his primary (and I assume secondary) at the same point as I did, only last year. He wound up getting an interview about a month before they were closing up shop. 😛

Boonshoft being my #1, I'm going to be holding my breath for a WHILE.

Was your friend accepted?

Hey guys! Current M1 at BSOM. Let me know if you have any questions about the school and I'll do my best answer them 🙂

Thank you for offering!

I've heard that Boony has a unique curriculum. Does this make it difficult to track with review materials like First Aid, Pathoma, Boards and Beyond, Zanki/Bros Decks... etc?

If you had one negative thing to critique or just something that needs to be improved, what would it be?

Interviewing here in 10 days. Can anyone who has interviewed here recently provide some insight as to what to expect?

Hey so I interviewed here and loved it. With the whole flipped classroom thing, how many hours per week do you average doing mandatory activities? Also do you happen to know the average STEP score and anything about how generous they are with merit-based loans (like do you need to be a 3.8+/515+ to qualify or what). Thanks in advance! Hopefully I hear from them in a month.

BTW, anyone knows the post-II acceptance rate here? Since they fit white coats on the day of, I imagine it is pretty good?

II complete 7/14. Scheduled second week of October. Does anyone have any advice? How is their interview? Really excited and nervous.
