somebody just got accepted today per the FB group
Ya I saw that. Hence my you never know. I am not on admissions but this late in the game it is most likely a person here and there as a couple people drop for other schools. Most will not though as they have already found housing etc.

Love Crieghton. Father Ken in Phoenix is awesome.

hey everyone, I finally got into a school in my homestate super super last minute (like 2 days ago) and decided to withdraw my seat from creighton just before the CTE deadline. i hope my spot can go to one of you! keep an eye out for emails/phone calls and good luck!!!!

when does creighton typically send the rejection emails? i'm kind of sick of not knowing and i'm prepared to reapply, already retaken the mcat and received scores, started secondaries, etc.

I’m assuming that with the commit to enroll deadline having passed, it’s unlikely that they’ll be sending out additional acceptances... my guess is that they’ll start sending out rejections in the next week or two...

I emailed them today about my waitlist status and they replied with this:
"Thank you for your email. Our class is currently full, but with rolling admissions, that can change any time. They will continually fill vacancies as they happen. You will stay on the alternate list until you would be accepted or if you withdrew from the alternate status up until this class matriculates on July 29th. The Committee does not disclose your alternate position. Please contact our office if you have any questions."

Just withdrew my acceptance so there should be at least one offer coming someone’s way

Does anyone know how many people who don't go here for undergrad get in? I just have average stats for med school acceptance ( at least I think, maybe a little below for MCAT) and a little bit of a tie. Would it be useless to apply, especially late in the cycle? Thanks!

no definitely apply here! about 55 / 165 give or take a few of their own get in

it's also not late in the cycle at all because of covid, i submitted my secondary the first week of august last year and got invited for an interview early october, my friends who submitted in june/july got an interview in august (we all went there for undergrad so i think they prioritize us first)

i heard from a little bird that they're not offering interviews until september

as for mcat, as long as you don't have anything below a 125 they'll take ya, i would really emphasize your tie to the school, jesuit values, and a sense of community / collaboration from the professors and other students

just received the rejection letter...unfortunately for all of us on the waitlist there wasn't much movement. Onward from here though!

ya presentation has already started for the M1’s... so unless something crazy happens it’s over I think for those on the WL

People who were waitlisted: is the "a decision has been made on your application" notification gone from your portal? I'm assuming this just means they've wiped the waitlist clean?

Thank you so much for your response!! I think I might be in a bind because I have to wait to see if I get rejected from my early decision program, but if it doesn’t work out, I’ll be sure to apply either this cycle in October or possibly next year!! Best of luck to you!!

I don't check this forum too often but I am a current M2 on the ADCOM. Feel free to message me with any questions you might have and I can try to answer them when I can. Best of luck to all of you future docs!
Congrats on making it to M2 and your willingness to give back by answering a few questions! Does Creighton at about $95K a year give much institutional aid/grants for matriculants from middle class backgrounds? Am I correct parental income must be disclosed even for non-traditional applicants for institutional aid?
