For those of you who have scheduled interviews, were you only able to pick between two dates, both 2 weeks out from your invite? I'm a little confused looking at the portal, since it's only showing me those two dates. It would be easier for me to get time off work if I could schedule mine later in September- if I wait a week to schedule, will more dates appear, or am I limited to just those?
If you’re EDP then I believe the only dates are the 27th and 29th of August. Those were the only options when I picked my date for EDP. No idea about regular decision

Hey guys just wanna put this out there. I was accepted ED with an MCAT of 502 and am currently a M1. I know someone who interviewed with a score less than 500 (unfortunately didn’t get accepted). Point is MCG looks at their applicants very holistically. Don’t feel down if your score doesn’t match the average, if you truly believe you stand out!! Apply and give it your all in the interview. Good luck to you all!!

Thanks for the encouragement! Do you mind sharing what it was that you think stood out about your app and helped get you in? Is there something in particular MCG is impressed by other than stats that you know of?

MCG has a 509 minimum MCAT to apply ED. Are you BS/MD or do you mean you just applied early for RD?

if you are in-state and considered dependent, a copy of your DL, parents DL, federal and state taxes, and passport should suffice for the required documents right?

Don't think you even need passport if you have your DL but I suppose theres no harm in supplying both. I think I did.

Hi! Can you tell us if you were accepted off waitlist or during the regular admission period? Also, were you a first time candidate? Thanks!

You don't need the passport. I emailed and asked, and they said that I had everything and I did everything you said but the passport.

How much are y’all writing for the campus preference?
I didn't write about a campus preference in the secondary and I don't think it's necessary at this time. I think that will come up during/post-interview

Yeah same. Is it like an implied acceptance
I was so bummed when I read “please see the attached letter” haha
I'm thinking the acceptance letters will come by Tuesday, since the email said that any applicants who want to opt out can do so by Monday. They probably just want to make sure they don't send an acceptance to someone who might have changed their mind based on the curriculum changes.

Wait, what curriculum changes have there been?

Do you mind sharing your stats? 🙂

Just got an II today!! However, the only dates available are for tomorrow and one next week. I would really love to have a little more time to prepare for the interview and am also not in GA right now. Do you think scheduling for a later date (maybe the week after next) would hurt my chances?

They tend to do acceptances in batches, with the first one being around October. Maybe call and try to get a spot later in September?

ahhh didn't realize they started acceptances in october. In that case, I guess interviewing later in september won't decrease my chances significantly compared to interviewing next week. Thanks for your input!

You’re welcome! Keep in mind that I interviewed before they started MMI, so timelines may have changed since then. It’s always best to call and ask admissions directly. For what it’s worth, I didn’t interview until December and wasnt accepted regular pool until March.

Does anyone have any info/stats about people that get II's in EDP and then are entered into regular decision pool? Thats my situation right now and I'm wondering how much hope there is lol

I'm in the same boat too. I guess all we can do is hope, but I am going to start applying to other schools too

ED or RD? OOS or IS? Any stat if you don't mind?

Hope you guys with upcoming IIs enjoy your visit to campus! I'm even more excited about MCG after mine- lots of friendly people, impressive facilities, and a fairly low-stress interview. The student body seemed really happy as well!

To everyone who interviewed at MCG, how was your interview experience and how should one prepare for the MMIs? I have an interview coming up soon and am freaking out.

A lot more relaxed than I thought it would be. More conversational, not as one-sided. You cant really prepare for the content, but just be able to have a normal conversation with someone about a topic, whether the topic is you or something else they typically ask about in MMI’s.

That's good to know! Were the stations mostly discussion based or were there any acting stations?
