So according to last year’s thread, most phone calls came between 5-7 PM. I hope that is not the case tomorrow lol. I will be dying all day. R and Hold emails came around the same time as well or a after. Who knows what it’ll be this time around. Remember, it’s not a WL...it’s a hold. People put on hold can be rejected or accepted at any scheduled decision day. The unranked waitlist isn’t created until close to the end of the cycle.
On the flip side, I don’t think I’ve ever been more scared about potentially receiving an email.
Good grief you gave me a heart attack seeing a SDN notification for TCU lol... the only people hearing back today are 9/23. When you interview, they will give you a sheet of paper with all the dates decisions are released. It's just under 2 weeks from your interview date. 10/7 hears back on the 18th. Ours is the only weird one because decisions can't be released before the 15th.
Deadline for the secondary is not until December 15, so go for it
This doesn't mean you don't have a chance, they'll just let you know on the 18th now I believe.

That's what I'm wondering, how often do they do their committee reviews? Maybe they want more data from a few groups before they send out the first acceptances. Anyone else know anything?
No idea. It’s just a theory my friends and I have. We all interviewed on the same day...unless they haven’t called those who were accepted yet.

Yes, there were quite a few accepted after being on hold. I don't know the meeting schedule but they seem systematic and organized!
More decisions are released on Friday. Decisions are released every other Friday. You can see the dates on the paper they gave you at the interview. I did not view holds very favorably in last year’s thread, but I could be wrong. People were accepted from holds. Also, last year was very different. So far we have one confirmed acceptance, 7 holds and 1 rejection.... seems hold heavy but SDN isn’t the best sample. There are only 24 people though... I would guess they are hold heavy for now.
I’m with you. I’m actually surprised more people didn’t check in here. Would’ve thought we had a few more A’s and R’s pop up. I’m surprised at the number of holds. It seems more than last year. I don’t expect much on Friday... if they are going to accept or reject us on Friday, why not have just done it today??

the latter. They opened apps up in like november last year and made a class in like 4 months. This year things were as on time as they could be
I agree, I expect in a few weeks we will probably know much more. They will start to widdle out who they want and who they dont.

Hold email was received around 4:50 or so. Unfortunately no one has shared an acceptance, so I don’t know when they called. The only acceptance I heard was posted on here from someone who knew someone. I was able to count around at least 12 holds. Don’t feel bad if you get a hold. Honestly, it kind of wrecked me for the rest of the night, but I have a feeling they’re being very conservative in the beginning. Don’t get discouraged if you don’t get a phone call (I need to remind myself about that tomorrow). I’m dreading tomorrow afternoon. Last year calls came anywhere from 5-7 pm central time. If you miss the call, they leave a voicemail. Don’t worry 🙂

Definitely a test of resilience haha... but I suppose I’m happy to be on hold versus rejection. Will make that acceptance so much sweeter when it comes. For anyone who interviews and is put on hold, feel free to message me any time you need some encouragement or someone to freak out to! I have a few friends who interviewed here and are in the same position as me and it helps having them to talk to! I’m rooting for all of you!
Thanks both you and @ayjaystudent , I wasn't sure what they do if you don't answer a call so that was my main worry! Hoping for the A, but I would imagine they are definitely going to be conservative about options. Though I really thought they would be doing an 8/8/8 split for decisions, so I'm surprised by how many holds there were in that first group. I wouldn't feel too down about a hold given that, I just hope not an R!
