2020-2021 Dartmouth (Geisel)

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
To be fair, I highly doubt they're done offering acceptances or putting people on waitlists. They may start to get more selective but I doubt they're finished already, and I'm sure spots will open as time continues and people who were offered decide elsewhere.

I definitely don't think they've filled up. They mentioned during my interview day that they got a late start this cycle and plan on offering acceptances through March. If I'm not mistaken Geisel tends to extend 280ish offers of admission to fill a class of 92 so I'll bet there are plenty of more IIs and acceptances out there.

Do y’all think they are going in order of submission? Like based only on the thread I have seen people rejected in July, august, and October..... how do we interpret this lol? Like I completed my app in early September and no response yet..... good sign or not?

Idk what their order is but since I was complete 7/29 and no word still I must be in some low-priority pile they haven't looked at yet:depressed:

Most schools do not go by order of submission. I believe schools rank applications by priority, but the determination of that ranking is different for each school.

Thoughts on sending an update pre-II? I mentioned my new clinical job in my secondary (started end of July) but now I can actually update with hours and comments on the experience. Low clinical exposure is probably the worst part of my app.

i think there are two ways to look at this if u submitted early and havent heard back yet haha. either we got ranked low and they havent even looked at our files yet or they have and they decided to put it on some internal hold.....im rlly rlly hoping its the latter lol

I submitted mid august. Haven’t heard anything. Pretty sure my app is ranked so low that they just haven’t gotten around to rejecting me yet lol.

Still nothing, complete August 19. LM 71 or 74 depending on how much you care about my undergrad grades vs my post-bacc. Still waitin' on that R
Dartmouth seems to like non-trads, so maybe you should be waiting for that II/A instead of the R...

They didn't seem to send out a bunch of IIs in the past month according to this thread, so I'd have some hopes now lol

+1 with the Pre-II R this morning. Complete early August. Non-trad with LizzyM of around 70-71 (depending on how you want to factor in my post-bac gpa).
