Did you guys get a complete email? My status just changed to complete on the portal but I never got the email..

I never got a complete email, I only got the "secondary application received" email - in that email, they said that the status will change to application complete but didn't mention sending any additional emails.

Do we know if they all get sent out at the same time (i.e., if we haven't gotten one this morning we're not getting one today)?

Same. Thought I was incredibly competitive here out of all my schools for fit, etc

edit: obviously it’s so early and I’m ridiculously neurotic lol
 
Hi all. First time applicant to UMich and just wanted to share dates to track my review if anyone wants to be neurotic with me cause I know i'm in for a long ass wait.

Primary AMCAS submitted 7/1 and verified 8/12.
UMich Secondary Submitted just now 8/24.

Does anyone know how they go about selecting ppl for Michigan Monday as far as the date goes?

From the thread it appears so far they've only sent out 30 (maybe 60 interviews) out of what I'm sure is prob like 2,000 applicants to date, perhaps?

So I'm wondering if its applicants 1-500 for Interview Date 1, then 501-1000 for Interview Date 2, etc.....

They've actually sent out ~ 75, and they seem to interview 500 a year (based on previous years) but they also have over 7,000 applications to date I believe. 8/24 is relatively late considering how many have already applied, but it is a long process and they will get to it eventually. Best thing to do is not stalk these threads and wait for your own email, but if you're neurotic like me that's impossible 🙂

pretty sure ~7000 is the number of primaries transmitted to the school not the number of completed apps. i may be wrong.
 
usually though umich sends in state II's in the latter half other cycle during the cold months. seems to not be the case this year b/c everything is online anyways. maybe oos peeps will have a solid shot throughout the whole period then.
 
Anyone know if Michigan accepts updates post-secondary submittal ? Like if you have a publication accepted or something like that.

Yeah, they have five slots for document uploads. Click “Review Your Activity” on their primary portal, log in if necessary, then click “View Checklist.” You’ll see the slots there.

Hm if you mean the one with the USNWR data then it most likely wasn't provided. Otherwise, if you're talking about the community-sourced data, then that's just from no sampling I'd imagine. I'm not an expert though so I hope this was helpful!

This is the last one I had in me. I should withdraw, now. Maybe i'll come back here to post "STATS?!?" "WHEN WERE YOU COMPLETE?!?!?!?" for every future MM. RIP :dead:
