I was not — it was complete radio silence since my interview. That being said, on my interview date they mentioned that some applicants got the hold email and then the next day got the acceptance call just because of how their review timing worked. Hope that helped and good luck!
 
Anyone who hasn't gotten a rejection yet get an interview this week?

As far as I can tell from past years, it looks like a mix of As, Rs, and WLs!
 
@ Dr. Rivera, you said you read these, and I do not have the confidence to say thank you over a Zoom call with other applicants. However, I wanted to let you know that your story really resonated with me in reference to your childhood as well as the talk about financial aid and what a scholarship or loans meant. Time and time again, we hear about the attending salary rationale behind gap year decisions or deciding a school by brand name. Thank you for speaking to that. Although SDN may not be your thing (it certainly is not mine), please continue to share with applicants the two-cents you had; meant a lot to me.

Best of luck to all applicants! NYU is a great institution as are the many other medical schools we all applied to. Keep your heads held high; you worked hard and you have at least one person rooting for you. 😊
 
I havent receieved a pre-II R yet (complete mid-July) and am wondering if I should be prepping for an R in the upcoming weeks since it looks like the interview spots are dialing down now

Damn... That sucks 🙁... I've gotten IIs at similar caliber schools, so I was hoping that the school that I put the most effort into secondary-essay-wise would at least give me a chance T_T.

Out of curiosity, which time zone is this 4-5 pm in?
 
This is an excerpt from an email I received: "Your application has been sent to the Committee on Admissions for review. Though we are unable to offer you an acceptance at this time, please rest assured that you are still being considered by the Admissions Committee for a potential seat in the entering class."

I interviewed a few weeks ago. Has NYU placed me on hold/waitlist after an initial pass of my application or are they simply saying they are reviewing my application?

This is the post interview hold that most interviewees received
 
So if we've been complete since late July but literally haven't heard a thing since, what's going on? Did they misplace our files or they can't make up their minds about whether or not to interview us?

I think this is the case with a lot of schools this year and isn't specific to NYU. I'd say they have another 2-3 weeks left of interviews to give out.

i hope that's the case ... I read earlier on this feed that NYU was sending out its last interview invites at the end of this week ...
 
Any veterans here that have interviewed or been accepted? I go to a NYC UG but have struggled to find any veterans that have applied to NYU specifically and can speak to how they are viewing that demographic

If you don't mind me asking, when did you interview and when did you receive this email?
 
For the people still in undergrad, are you all uploading transcripts after your semester/quarter?
