Anyone know how your GPA/MCAT, MMI and personal interviewed are weighed by OHSU once you've gotten to the interview stage to make a decision on who to accept?
 
For people who have gotten IIs: How long did it take after being MARKED complete to when the II email came?

Mine was about a month after my file was marked complete. Interview dates were about 2-3 weeks after the email invite.

I’m not sure the weight but Kari told me that they make a score. Your MMI and interview are blind to stats. I wouldn’t venture to say 50% but maybe 40%? But that’s a guess.

I thought I remember hearing something about how they said that once you get to the interview stage, everyone is equal (MCAT/GPA don't matter anymore) and that admissions decisions are made just on your MMI and interview performance. Can anyone confirm ?
 
During my interview they said that everyone gets a score. Above a certain number, admit immediately. Under a certain number, reject immediately. The rest are hold. The line for "admit" lowers as the cycle progresses and they have a better idea of the spread of applicants.

100 points total possible:
20% = defined by a combination of MCAT and GPA (don't know specifically how this works out but I'm guessing it's a LizzyM type combo)
30% = MMI ratings
50% = your 1-1 interview & essays/rest of your app.

So MCAT and GPA will end up factoring into the total decision since it's your total score of these three that determines the outcome.

So for the interview- they are blind to your MCAT/GPA but it's open file? Also was your interviewer a PhD or MD (if you don't mind sharing)?

My interview (not the poster you asked but I may help you) was MD only. We had orientation the day before and she described the score system. She said basically your number stats are taken into consideration to get the interview. It’s a part of that score another person mentioned each applicant gets. I didn’t recall the percentage of each item nor its weight if that makes sense. But she did say that. She said though for MMI they see your achievements and activities etc but not GPA or MCAT. My Individual interview she certainly had my personal statement and info because my interviewer made comments or asked questions. But they made a point to emphasize you’re not just your GPA if that makes sense.

I’ve been talking to a current MD/MPH student, and they believe the program is interviewing about 70 applicants.

I don’t think any acceptances for MD/MPH have been given out. I think they wait until after the last interview.
 
Have any MD/MPH applicants attended the meet and greet sessions? How was it/was it casual?

Congrats!! What week is your interview for? I have a MD/MPH interview the week of 3/8 so I’m curious if they’re booking later than that.
 
So I submitted my secondary in October, had a problem with one of my LORs, emailed them to get it resolved in December (It was marked on their status page, I didn't get an email). I called them a month ago and then emailed again last week all with no response. Has anyone else had problems with this or know anyone specific I could contact. I'm in state so I am thinking they are going to move on and start looking at out of state applications soon.
 
I believe IS applicants always have a solid shot for interviews. My understanding is that OHSU broadens their net to interview more OOS applicants and other non-mission group applicants towards the end of the cycle, but they never completely exclude IS applicants.

I've been on hold since 12/18 and I know that I'll prob have to wait until April to hear anything, but this is so nerve-wracking!! 😵 I'm considering sending a letter of intent once I complete my other interviews. Any thoughts?

I'm more or less in the same boat, unfortunately. Isn't OHSU pretty unwelcoming towards post-II updates? The portal says "Please note that further updates will not reopen your file or change the committee's decision."
 
For oos students we had a pretty bad (for us) storm, so maybe there will be a bit of delays this week.

oof, the waiting is the worst! I'm sorry!! I remember Kari said someone reached out to her during their 10th week of waiting when I interviewed in jan..... not sure if it would feel less bad, but you could maybe shoot an email out checking in? Hang in there!!

I just checked my portal, and I got the same rejection. But it was just in the portal, I didn't get an email
