has anyone been accepted WITHOUT doing a student interview? should we just do it? need to figure it out with my work schedule so want to know if it'll hurt if I can't do it.

I didn't do the student interview and got accepted!

same here with the work schedule so I just didn't even try to schedule. I think it's okay if you don't do it 🙂

Had my second interview late oct but I haven't heard back yet. Have any late oct interviewees heard back yet?

I had interviewed on 11/30 and later was told we'd find out in 6-8 weeks. Looking on here, I've seen it be closer to 4-6 weeks. What are the current timelines for people so far?

Does NJMS send out post-interview Rs (before, like, spring)?

Can anyone give me some insight on how their interview went? This is my first one of the cycle and the only one on one/ open file interview that I've had.

this was by far the best interview I had!! the interviewer was so nice/friendly and easy to talk to! we were able to joke and have a normal conversation but I was still able to talk about everything I wanted to.
try not to worry, this was a super low-stress interview and they really just want to get to know you better so be yourself (as much as you can via webcam lol)

Radio silence & I've been complete since July....IS with stats in the median so this is getting strange. Anyone else?
+1

I know nothing is a given, of course, and I don't feel like I'm owed anything by any means, but yeah - I'm IS, stats are a bit above the NJMS & RWJMS median, strong EC, work, research, so a little surprised as well. We'll see, I guess! Lots of factors at play. Best of luck to everyone.

Got the acceptance call today - interviewed 10/30. I did do the optional student interview for those that are wondering
Congrats! Any chance you could share some stats as well as what time you got the call?

Do you think there will be more December decisions coming out? Interviewed in October and haven't heard anything.
I interviewed in Nov. and they told me that I should expect a decision before Christmas....so hopefully! Unless they were being optimistic lol

when in nov did you interview if you don’t mind me asking?

Sorry to spam this thread guys, but I was wondering for those of you who got a second interview-- how long did the adcoms wait to request one after the first?

My first interview was 10/29 and second interview was 11/18. Invited for second interview on 11/13.

Has anyone who interviewed in late October yet heard anything? I emailed Dean Heinrich last week and he said that they would reach out when a final decision has been made. Did not feel like a particularly great sign lol.

Apologies if this has already been discussed, but is a second interview always given before an acceptance offer? Interviewed in early Dec and not sure what to expect.

I had only one faculty interview and an optional student interview.

Seems like a lot of acceptances have been given out already. Not sure what to think - how long do they continue with II?
I'm not one to say exactly because I'm not an adcom, but they always give many As at the beginning of the cycle for ED since they don't wait until the AMCAS regulated deadline to get back to ED applicants about their decision. They funnel a lot of their SGS graduates into NJMS this way because they've shown their dedication to the school and they don't like to dig into their WLs almost at all.

*They give ~1/3 of their seats by way of ED

**Also looks like the large impending WL wave accompanies the reality of dwindling open seats and sparse calls from Dr. H...
