I think the earliest we can hear back is October 15, right? TX residents prematch starts in October, and then OOS starts in November. I could be wrong, but I think I remember reading that on their website!

The earliest acceptances can go out is October 15th. I believe OOS applicants now have the same date.
With the late start to the interview stream this year (and UTMB rescheduled some dates due to a hurricane) I don't expect UTMB to give out as many pre-matches right on October 15th as they did last year. But interviews are started back up now and pre-match offers go from October 15 to Jan 31 this year.

Historically, is UTMB pre-match heavy?
 
Have any in-state MD-PhD applicants received an interview? Or an invitation to complete a secondary application? If so when?

I wonder where they are on their timeline. I know last year they only had three interview days and they were later in the season, so I wonder if they are delayed this year because of Covid.

I'm OOS MD/PhD and got the secondary invite like a week and a half ago. No word on interviews.
 
I'm not sure if this was discussed earlier in the thread, but did UTMB show up in anyone's School Rank Preference tab? My interview was a while back and it still hasn't shown up.

It's been talked about. Everyone is in the same boat, myself included.
 
Anybody think September 18 interviewees have a chance at hearing tonight?
 
I’m goin a little crazy right now but just wanna make sure-

TMDSAS said to not send in transcripts until they’re requested. I never got anything from them (interviewed last month) so didn’t send it in. Everyone else is in the same boat right?

You only send them unless they ask you. They ask you if you are accepted into medical school. If you aren't accepted, they won't ask for them.

“Starting in EY2021, transcripts should notbe submitted to TMDSAS until they are requested. When TMDSAS member institutions begin to extend offers of acceptance on October 15, TMDSAS will reach out to admitted applicants to collect transcripts.”

I understand that for a lot of people UTMB hasn't showed up in their Rank Preference List yet. They haven't shown up in mine either, but when I look on my TMDSAS account, I cant even find the link for the Rank Preference List at all. Is anyone else experiencing this? Or could someone offer any advice? Thank you!

It’s called “pending actions” and if you don’t have it then that means the school or schools you’ve interviewed at haven’t updated TMDSAS that you interviewed there. It doesn’t really mean anything about your admissions decision. Schools just have different times when they update it.

Great! Thank you! Ya I don't seem to have a "pending actions" link on the toolbar. I interviewed at UTMB about a month ago and it is the only TMDSAS school I have interviewed at thus far. Glad to hear it won't affect the admissions decision at all if that link isn't there yet! Thank you!

You won’t need that until closer to Match Day. If it hasn’t shown up by Dec or Jan you can remind them.

October 15 is the first day schools MAY release acceptances, but it doesn't mean they MUST. The majority of the TMDSAS schools usually send some out today, but I can't predict anything this wonky COVID-19 application cycle. 😳
