Had some technical difficulties during my interview today, not sure if my interviewer could hear my answers properly...pretty bummed and really hope it does not affect my chances 🙁

Were you still able to give answers you were proud of? Did the other one go better? I had some technical issues too, so I don't think it's going to work against you too much. Chin up, all is still not lost!

I loved my answers to both interviewers' questions, its just I'm not sure how clearly the first interviewer heard my answers!

Congrats on receiving an interview — that is a huge success all in its self! If you are concerned with an interview due to technical issues, reach out to UTMB and share what happened. They can contact your interviewer to see if the technical issues impacted your interviewer’s ability to hear you answers. If they did, I’m confident they will work to reschedule another interview for you, even if via phone if wifi was the original issue.

Literally the exact same thing happened to me today! My friend interviewed there a few weeks ago and it happened to him too. You’re not the only one!

What do you mean? Why would you think the interviewer didn’t hear your answer?

I was having technical difficulties, I was able to somewhat revolve them for the second interview

I had the same kind of issue with my first interviewer too. I just assumed it was his internet because all of my other interviews went okay. But his camera was frozen the most of the interview and when it wasn't his video was super laggy, which threw me off. I assumed he heard my responses though because he was responding to what I was saying. Idk if this is something I should contact the admissions office about

Sounds like something certainly should bring attention to admission office, at least if that is an issue on interviewer side it can prevent issues with future interviews and will help other applicants.

Take this with a grain of salt, but I felt pretty lukewarm about CASPer. There were multiple scenarios where, for the 3rd question, I was only able to write a sentence and a half lol before time cut me off. I got an ii today, OOS, 3.8+/520+ LM76-77

Dude, I think I straight bombed the Casper. I didn't get to answer the third question most of the time, but I have both an MD and DO secondary so far... idk... maybe schools aren't really putting much stock in Casper this year?

According to Bemo, they don't actually count off for not finishing all three questions, apparently. I got interviews at UTMB and Foster, both of which are said to weigh Casper heavily, and at ARCOM, where I've already been accepted, which also recommends the Casper. I've concluded that I did well, but I almost never answered the third question.

Are you guys thinking that schools are offering more interviews this cycle because they are remote and easier? (Thus an II wouldn't necessarily mean as much this cycle?) Just a thought that popped into my head...

Most TX schools have not changed their interview plans, except Dell which has said remote interviews will let them interview 20% of applicants, compared to prior 7%.

Just got an ii a few hours ago! LM 71.5 / MCAT 513 / cGPA: 3.95 / BCPM GPA: 3.90 / In-State Resident

Received secondary 8/6. Completed secondary 8/31. This is my first ii!

II! LM 68 / MCAT 509 / cGPA: 3.83 / BCPM GPA: 3.68 / In-State Resident ORM

Completed secondary 9/1. This is my first ii!

Hi, i got an interview at utmb last year. My application was complete 8/7 but still haven’t gotten one this year. These aren’t good chances huh?

Have you done the CASPer yet? UTMB and TX Tech El Paso want that done before they decide on interviews.

I did that back in June so I guess my CASPER score wasn’t good which is a bummer since most schools in Texas needed it this year.

How did people feel about their interviews yesterday? How were the interviewers and what questions were you asked?

I was marked complete by UTMB on 9/3, and was wondering when you think I should hear back for an interview. My GPA is 3.92, MCAT 512.

Hello, first ever post. Wondering how medical schools look at secondaries? Is there an order? i mean, how do people who submit later than others (equal stats i suppose) get their interview invites first? thank u 🙂

Hi guys! My interview is next Friday and I'm really excited and really stressed out. Were we supposed to receive an email with instructions about the interview? I'm not sure what program they're using to conduct the virtual interviews or what the schedule is supposed to be like for the entire day.

They email you like two days before with all the links! Don't sweat it 🙂

Can those who have interviewed confirm the interview day agenda? It looks like there's stuff from 8am-10am, and then we just get on AMP for whenever our interviews are scheduled?

Yep! They’ll give you directions on when to go where as long as you’re in that main zoom.

For those who got interviews invites recently, what was the latest interview date available to you? I am just curious how far out they have filled up slots.
