I’m assuming it’s not good? I think it’s best to say we are reject until further communication unfortunately
Its not a good sign. Its getting late for anyone in the cycle. Since their interviews go through Feb and maybe a week or 2 of march?

Sorry just to confirm, do they accept post-II update if you are on hold? I interviewed like September and have new activities
So its worth reaching out to Gale or Dr whitehurst via email. If you are on post II hold you have already received your final score that will dictate if you are accepted or not. An update will not change that score. It will essentially just be written in the notes next to your name. I would imagine its worth waiting u9ntil you have a decision. But just email and see what the8y have to say

this is very specific, essentially insider, info. Can you share how you know the process so deeply at this school? Very useful insights here.

Today is another release day!! The last two occurred around noon CST I believe. Good luck to all you post-ii peeps waiting for those tabs 😁
not to be that neurotic pre-med, but i tried to log in since it's ~around that time~ and it says my page doesn't exist 🥴

Are you doing it from your phone? Mine says that too from my phone. Try logging in on a laptop!

That's not insider information, it's well-known information given out at the interview. At least about being put on hold post-II. They said in the interview that is a good thing. Essentially there is a 1-5 ranking (lower rank = better). Anyone with a 4 or 5 is rejected and anyone with 1-3 is placed on hold and considered for admission. They will never tell you your ranking; that is purely for them to know. I can't comment on how valuable updates are, but I agree with @Talldoctor96 that it probably wouldn't do much. It may not matter when it comes to regular acceptances but maybe it comes into play when it comes to waitlists. If a person withdraws their A and VCU is looking to replace with a similar student (perhaps based on scores, demographic, IS/OOS, etc), then I could see updates coming into play. But I've never seen Talldoctor try to be anything but helpful across multiple school threads.

I have not received the “placed on hold.” Does that mean I lost my chance and they have already rejected me?

I'm not sure, but I wouldn't think so. I think whether the answer will be a hold placement or rejection, you'll receive an email that there is a new communication. Then you'll have to log into the portal and check. You can drive yourself crazy and continuously log into the portal to see if they've posted anything, or you can relax and wait to get the email about new communication. I recommend the latter!

If you've interviewed, it just means they haven't met to review your file yet. I know some people who interviewed right before the last acceptance date in December did not get a hold until January. There is still hope!
Mine was 2 weeks ago and I remeber they mentioned that they will meet on the following Monday to discuss. But I don’t know 🙁

Anyone from 1/14 interview day is on hold and waiting to hear?

I have the "file status" thing with the transcripts and instate eligibility... but no "on hold" status post II..... is this what I think it means??
Congrats!!!
I am not on hold either. You gave me some hope.

What was the message on your portal post interview if not on hold?

Are they still giving out interviews or is the "your file is complete" status basically a rejection?

Your interview is now complete! The Committee will now do a review of your application. Once this review is complete, you will receive a status update regarding your profile.

I have the same one. Thank you!
