I'm slightly confused (and disheartened), I received a secondary about 2 weeks ago, and I was ready to submit today when I got an email about an application status change, which said:
"The committee's initial screening resulted in a decision not to pursue your file further. The Committee does not send supplemental applications unless they are confident that the candidate will be competitive within our large applicant pool. Our committee does NOT offer reasons for this action but does suggest that a discussion with a pre-health advisor might be worthwhile. Based on our school policy, those applications with MCAT scores taken after September during the year of application are not reviewed. We wish you the very best with your other applications."
Why would they send me a secondary, and then send me a rejection before giving me a chance to submit? I know VCU has a 60 day deadline for secondaries, but this is well in advance of that due date.
