I'm interviewing here tomorrow (super excited/nervous), but for the student panel Zoom, does anyone know if it's casual? also is it mandatory? I'm trying to make it but not sure if I'll be available. if anyone has an overview of what it was like I'd love to get an idea!

Definitely casual and helpful but not mandatory! There were also interviewees who weren't there for the whole time, as at least for mine, it was mostly zoom breakout rooms and current students cycling in between them to give us more insight into VTC and answer any questions we had. If someone would be so kind and ask tomorrow about when they're telling applicants this year (from all interview days) that would be GREATLY appreciated!!!

Was everyone on camera or did some people have their video off?

thank you so much! following that, do you think it would be okay to come in late or leave early if needed? since it's breakout sessions not sure how that would work :/

No worries!! They will def do their best to make sure to catch you up to speed if you come in late and will add you to one asap. There were definitely people coming in late too, so I think it should be fine.
 
anyone know how to send thank you letters post interview? the lady said something about emailing it to admissions, but I'm not sure if that would be specific enough...

She said you could upload it to your portal and they’d get it to your interviewer as well. Either way she said to not directly send it to them
 
Anyone know if VTC waits until all 6 (?) of the interview Saturdays are complete before issuing acceptances ? It seems no one from the first group of interviews has heard anything.

Looking at last year's thread, that doesn't seem to be the case. They started issuing As at the end of October.

I've gone through a bunch of the previous years' threads... and it definitely seems like they told people on a rolling basis.

Earlier today! They called me at 2:30-- I think they mentioned that we'd get an email or an update 'after all calls are completed' so I can post if I get any new updates from them for everyone who's still waiting to hear back.

Anyone get the WL/R email yet? Thought that might've come today too, for those of us who hadn't gotten a call but interviewed in the first 2 dates.

My one-on-one went really great, but I thought I did poorly on one of the MMI Qs (the other two weren't terrible) and wasn't expecting to get in because of that. Hope that helps!

Wow I felt exactly the same. Felt super weird about one of the MMI questions but the one-on-one felt good.
