Rejected. ORM LM 67.5. Finishing up MPH. My gpa was very much in the lower side but had a decent MCAT. It’s gonna be a long cycle. Just super anxious.
I'm sure everything is going to be just fine, its still relatively early in the cycle! Do you mind sharing when you were complete?

Yeah I completed secondaries a bit later with Penn state I finished in like early October .

Interview was very low stress (wish I knew this in advance).
I had the afternoon session - we started with an introduction of ourselves, followed by some presentations about the school and a Q/A lunch session with a current med student. None of this was part of our interview, they just wanted us to get a feel for what the school was all about.

Afterwards there were two 30-minute interviews with current faculty. Interview was open-file and questions were broad - like "tell us about research experience?", "Why PSU?", etc. I only got to a few questions each, as conversation naturally flowed from what they asked (it did not seem like they were trying to rapid fire a bunch of prompts, rather they tried to a get a picture of what I was like as a person)

I prepped by writing out practice questions and preparing a presentation of current research, but I found i didn't really need any of my prepared materials other than the PPT. However I will mention - make sure your personal introduction is down pat. Not only do you bring it up at the beginning of the day, but you may have to give your "elevator pitch" to both interviewers.
I'm sorry...you presented a PPT during your II? Is this a common thing? I have no II so I don't know these things

They dont accept updates right? Is there anything I can do to poke them to visit my app/express interest???.... I am 515/3.8 ORM good/ok ECs and haven't received an II from any of the 25 schools I applied to (several R tho), starting to get nervous and not sure what I should be doing 🙁

They don't. It said in the email.

Anyone have any sense for how often people get off the pre-II hold list here?

In my case, it has been a R so far. Based on my research thus far, most schools that send pre-II hold are sending soft Rs; however, some people have received interviews invites. I am not sure about the actual data on this, but the consensus is that it's most likely going to be a R than an II.

But that doesn't mean that you will get a R. It's dependent on your stats/your journey/ECs of course and how well you shine in comparison with other applicants in the pool later on during the re-review.

George Washington is def not a soft R if you have a hold from them. All others I've seen is mostly soft Rs, but not entirely sure.
