Mine was right after my interview and most people were dressed very formally.

can any current students speak about the H/P/F grading for preclinical courses? i lurked on some older threads from last year that hinted that stony brook may be shifting completely to P/F (esp w Step 1 changes), so can anyone speak to that? thank you in advance!!

I'm not a student but at the admissions info session students talked about everything preclinical being P/F now

I spoke to a current student who confirmed to me that yes right now all preclinical is simply P/F not H/P/F.

Yes this has been pretty slow, haven’t seen any October interview As. Perhaps I have a while to go since I was on 10/15. But yes, constantly refreshing emails and overthinking everything

Each day the pain of waiting intensifies, I don't know how to stop overthinking. I keep thinking about how I messed up my interview answers, and I really think I could have turned in a much better secondary/primary. I'm freaking out, this is so hard. I'm just glad I'm not the only one.
 
Does anyone know where I can find the full match list for 2021? I found one on SDN but it’s just one page long.
 
The only interview spots open were in February, however, the admissions coordinator called and said there were two spots open in November. I guess some people declined their interview spots, but I don't know.

high priority wait list. i looked at the SDN thread from last year and in some people’s emails it said “High Priority Wait List” and i think they give them spots before dipping into Reg Wait list??? 🙁 i feel like i’ve been basically rejected
 
For waitlist, what are we supposed to say in our email back? General yes please keep me on the waitlist or more info?
 
+1 regular waitlist 🙁 got WL'd (and then rejected much much later) last year and super improved my app, was hoping for a change in outcome 😒
 
Does this school accept pre-II updates? If so, is it through the portal or email?
 
Did anyone else feel like this WL email was really optimistic? The wording was more like "you will be admitted if there is space" as opposed to other schools where it talks about reevaluation. Is this just their style and I am overthinking lol?

Still waiting for interview decision but I would say you maybe overthinking the wording. For some actual numbers, 60 people last year were take off the waitlist out of the 300 people on it (data from MSARS)

I just replied back “Yes I am interested in having my name placed on the waitlist. Thank you for the update” and today this is what they replied:

“Thank you for your email. The waitlist is ranked and confidential. At this time, we cannot predict how many applicants will ultimately be accepted off of the wait list. Movement continues until the class is full.

We will contact you if/when there is any change to your status at our school. “

Does this make it sound like there is no HPWL this year?
 
Has anybody not heard back past the 6 week suggested timeline? I interviewed 9/17 and still haven't heard anything. I just feel like I am refreshing my inbox waiting for that R.
 
How long before your interview do they send details (zoom links, info session days etc.)?
 
I hope it isnt too early to ask this but does anyone know when Stony Brook will be doing second look days or having any type of inperson tours? I would love to see the campus.
