So it seems like most people who interviewed still haven't heard anything yet, either R or A. Can others here confirm?

I interviewed 9/20 and radio silence so far, but maybe that's true for most people and not an indicator of "silent waitlist".

Just got the R from the MSTP program. They forwarded my app to the MD-only admissions so not losing hope yet but that R hurt lol

When were acceptance notifications released 2 weeks ago? I am anxiously awaiting a decision

Y'all have they started sending out PRIME interview invites yet? Complete 7/28 PRIME and worrying about the radio silence here!

Does anyone know of any couples who have successfully gotten into UCLA together? I know they don't consider couples for the app but my husband and I both applied this year and I was the only one who has interviewed with them so far. My husband hasn't heard back at all.

UCLA is my #1 choice and I felt great about my interview but I'm just worried they won't send my husband an interview 😢 any tips or advice? (FYI: husband has similar stats to me and similar experiences, lots of community service & research).

I was complete 8/9 here and haven't heard anything. Judging by the fact that people past my date got IIs, does this pretty much mean it's over for me? Apparently, they interview for regular MD "through November or until their class is filled." Just feeling really sad because this is my alma mater, employer, and I did my post-bacc here. šŸ™

Not necessarily, because I was complete very early and got an interview after a large batch of applicants.

The website says they send II July - Dec and interview Aug - Jan. I was complete around the same time as you šŸ¤žšŸ½

Is it okay to send letter of interests pre-II?
Unless there’s an update with information that adds to your application, I’m not sure that it’s worth much in the eyes of adcoms? With places like UCLA, I’m not even sure they look at update or interest letters pre-II, but can’t say for sure.

I know you CAN send update letters based on the ability to attach a letter in the portal, but again, not sure if it’ll amount to anything, especially if it’s just an interest letter with no significant updates. Still, you only miss the shots you don’t take? šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™‚ļø

Anyone else experience a really bad faculty interview? Like the faculty explicitly stating they "had a long clinic day and now I have to top it off with interviews"... and proceeding to have the same attitude of not wanting to be there for the entirety of the interview? Not really sure what I should do about this (if anything at all), but scared it'll hurt my chances of getting in

For those that got the A, did you submit any letter of interest/intent or anything in the document upload tab of the application portal?
I am also curious about this. I would like to send a letter of intent as UCLA is my top choice, but as a Texas resident I am scared I might get yield protected out.

Would an LOI be welcome/useful in my scenario?

I'm so sorry this happened to you. I'm an MS1 at UCLA and I know that the admissions team would want to hear about this. They are very receptive to this sort of feedback. I would tell someone.

Not sure about UCLA, but a similar thing happened to me at Irvine and I sent a polite but strongly worded email to admissions expressing my frustration and they gave me another interview on a later date with a different faculty. They were super apologetic on the interviewers behalf.

However, I have yet to get my decision from them so I don’t know if it hurt me to complain šŸ˜‚ but I figured my interviewers score of me was so bad complaining couldn’t be worse lmao

N=1 so grain of salt on this lol

If they gave you another interview, I would think that’s a good thing because that first interview probably wasn’t even scored.

Thank you so much! I'll make sure to contact the admissions office!
