I can't be optimistic anymore, I've been hurt too many times.I would be caaaaautiously optimistic if you haven't caught the R so far considering USC is on one today
Well I'm only four hours out from my BU rejection, I've still got time lolI caught both of them in the span of 12 hours lol
Same here. Complete very early with no II or R.Complete since 7/4 with nothing yet...
I'm trying to be more optimistic and think they are holding our apps for a potential late-cycle II.Same. I think that just means they haven’t sent us our R yet lol
Same lolI'm trying to be more optimistic and think they are holding our apps for a potential late-cycle II.
Same complete 7/10Complete 7/9 here and same, very frightened esp because this is one of my top choices
I saw the same thing in previous years threads - I'm wondering if the only reason I haven't been rejected yet is because my reviewer is behind LOL. I was complete 7/15I heard they assign a reviewer to each MCAT score. Not sure if true.or the order in which reviewers are assigned
They haven't gotten around to my R yet. 3.2 cGPA, 3.5 sGPAAny more R's today?
I’m right there with you on Stats and haven’t receive it yet either lol. IS tooThey haven't gotten around to my R yet. 3.2 cGPA, 3.5 sGPA
cant wait for my R email so i can tell my family and friends the exciting newsI’m right there with you on Stats and haven’t receive it yet either lol. IS too
either they haven't finished the review of your application yet, you're in the pile to get an R, or you're in the pile to get an II. No way to tell which is which ¯\_(ツ)_/¯What does it mean if we were complete super early (early July) and have not heard anything here yet?
Somewhat surprised that you received a R given your stats, which I think are solid. Can I ask you what your clinical exp and research exp was? Good luck with your other applications. Also got a R today around 3 PM PDT.
IS, URM, 522, 3.81
I thought fit was good but they clearly did not, haha.
Best of luck to everyone!
It means they can really see you being a part of the next class and are likely to offer you a seat. I'm in the same boat, app was complete in early July and haven't heard back. I've been sharing this news with friends and family and they're all really excited about it.What does it mean if we were complete super early (early July) and have not heard anything here yet?
This has got to be one of the best responses I have ever seen to these types of questions!!! On behalf of all anxious applicants everywhere, thanks for validating our most optimistic view of our situation!!! 😎It means they can really see you being a part of the next class and are likely to offer you a seat. No problem, just trying to share the neverending joy and excitement we are all experiencing while on this magical journey to the white coatThis has got to be one of the best responses I have ever seen to these types of questions!!! Overall still quite impressive. I’m guessing it’s your clinical. But given your stats and exp, I would guess you will overall get some good interview invites from several of your other school apps. Hang in there. Your stats are quite good.Thank you! Good luck to you as well!
I had ample research experience, four years during college I worked on medically-relevant chemistry research. Then I worked for three years at a leading research hospital focusing on clinical research on Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes. I have authored papers and presented at about 8 conferences.
In terms of clinical experience, my clinical research position definitely translated to meeting patients, but unfortunately the pandemic postponed our two clinical trials and therefore about half of my three year commitment was purely data analysis and manuscript writing. I still got maybe about 800 hours of direct patient experience (I spent about 12 hours each week solely working with patients)? I unfortunately had very limited shadowing, I only shadowed a primary care physician during my first year of college for about 40 hours. I had agreed to shadow a neurosurgeon weekly starting in May 2020, but of course that got cancelled as well. I honestly was hoping I would be a later rejection at least, but oh well
they have plenty of clinical experience. Ultimately, they yield-protected him/her or thought he/she wasn't a great "fit"Overall still quite impressive. I’m guessing it’s your clinical. When were you complete at Keck?Yeah I got an R 10 mins ago lol
When were you complete at Keck?
Dang, I haven't heard back yet. Complete 8/21. IS9/12
IS and 7/9… haven’t heard anything. Low expectations though ha.Dang, I haven't heard back yet. Complete 8/21. IS
I've heard that they call as many people as possible on the 15th and then push the rest of the calls to another dayDo they usually call about decisions right on October 15?
Hello! Can someone please explain what's significant about the 15th?I've heard that they call as many people as possible on the 15th and then push the rest of the calls to another day

Basically, October 15 is the first day that the AAMC 'recommends' acceptances can start being sent out.Hello! Can someone please explain what's significant about the 15th?
It says my student one is but my faculty one isn’t lolAnyone who was interviewed…on the status tab, does it show that the interview is complete? Thank you.
Ahhh I see. This is happening to me too, same situation hahaIt says my student one is but my faculty one isn’t lol
Edit: to confirm, I did both of course
All the current med students were wearing casual clothes, while there were a mix of casual clothes and formal clothes between the interviewees. I wore a casual collared shirt to play it safe, but the current students explicitly said that they were not part of any official admissions stuff so I wouldn't worry too much about it!Can anyone who has interviewed already tell me what people wear to the Friday Q&A sessions? Do people wear formal interview clothes?
Judging from the application tracker last cycle, it doesn't seem like Keck always sends out IIs in the order they received your secondary. Last year, some of the first people to report submitting secondaries didn't get IIs until October or November.7/15 IS 3.77/515 and no news yet. Is this basically an R or do I still got a shot?
