AAMC states:
  • If an applicant selects “Commit to Enroll” to a school, all other schools where the applicant also holds an acceptance or alternate-list offer will be notified but will not know the name of the school selected.
 
Did anyone who interviewed in January/February gets accepted? or did we all got waitlisted?

Hey MD/PhD applicant here as well. Did you receive any follow up after the campus visit email? From what I understood, it seems they were waiting on COVID restrictions to finalize their plans. I thought they would let us know when we could visit, but I haven’t heard anything in a while.

Any other MD/PHD applicants hear anything?

I would reach out to the director or the MD/PhD coordinator. They started doing the visits in early February and I believe their last one is in early March.

Fellow MD/PhD candidate. Still have not heard anything either regarding scheduling in person campus visits. Very likely that there are still many loopholes to jump through with Covid that has caused the delay.

I just got an email that they are no longer inviting or scheduling additional candidates to campus visits and is basically a rejection from the program. Definitely a bit confused here, and wondering why even invite me in the first place.

4:30 onwards I believe. but again last year was a true covid year. and to expect the same admittance process - covid or not - down to the same time of the same day is a bit presumptious lol

their admission tracker says 492 admissions so far. From past year’s thread, I think I saw that they give up to approx. 700, so hopefully we still have a chance 😁

Also, last year, March 1 was the first Monday of March, when they did their waitlist movement. The first Monday of March is coming up on the 7th for this cycle. Hopefully Admissions has a nice, hefty A waiting for all of us this Monday 😅

I dreamt that I opened my email and got off the waitlist - hopefully I have future sight and we see some movement on Monday!!

Also the admitted students FB group only has 247 people in it (8 of which are admins/current students) and last year's class size was 305 so I am very hopeful!
 
This year seems to be the breaking of patterns. Another school I interviewed at was quite notorious (last 4 years from what I saw) for releasing decisions first Thursday of March, yet released what was little movement on Friday, with others hearing nothing.
 
Does anybody know if Wayne has any specific tech requirements? I know some medical schools require certain PCs/Ipads, but I'm looking to get a new laptop before school starts.
