Anyone who applied to the URM program in August still waiting on an interview date? I have everything checked off except for my lor
 
On the IUSM website, it says we must respond in writing to accept the decision--does anyone know what we are supposed to sign?

Ahh ok thank you! I actually have not received a letter yet (just email/portal update), even though I'm IS, so hopefully it didn't get lost :wideyed:
 
Has anyone who interviewed early September NOT received either a package in the mail or email/portal update? Wondering if this means a rejection is forthcoming :-(. Applicant OSS (west coast).

Probably everyone else's top choice as well- but Indy would be great. Seems like with the curriculum change there's not a whole lot of differences between campuses now (besides class size, of course). So I'm good with some of the regional locations as well

I'm OOS west coast and so far I have only seen the portal update. No email or letter. Don't get discouraged yet!!

I interviewed 08/31, IS, and heard nothing. I'm sure there are quite a few of us from Aug/early Sep dates who haven't heard back. It doesn't mean we have been WLd or Rd, it means every month around 15th (or the 20th based on the trend of last and now this year) our neuroticism will intensify because that's when the decisions are released.
 
How do we submit our campus preference? I’m OOS and received a A via the portal but never got a email or letter. I’m looking on my portal and there is no place to submit the preference.
 
Anyone that got the Gary campus UMP II still waiting to get an interview date lol? All the stuff on that checklist has all been completed for over 4 weeks besides the pre req verification.

Also does anyone have any data on how many people they interview/accept for the UMP each year?

I haven’t gotten anything yet. UMP II in mid August. Tbh I’m getting rly nervous cuz I heard some regular II people have been scheduled earlier this month

Ok well as far as I’ve heard nobody has done an UMP interview yet so I guess we’re all in the same boat lol

I have done a UMP interview on 08/31. II mid-July, received the date early/mid-Aug for Aug 31st. I know at least 2 more people who interviewed for UMP same day as myself, and idk about later days. I guess you can check this thread if you're curious about other UMP peeps timelines.

Welp I don’t know what is the holdup about. I hope a later date won’t affect our chance!

In last year thread I saw speculations about UMP accumulating applicant profiles before starting to make any decisions, but idk how true that is. I believe first mentions of UMP As in last year thread were reported in December only. It's possible that the process is different for scholarly concentration applicants. Answering your concern - I personally think you'll be fine with a later interview date, it's still only October. But I totally understand how frustrating the wait is. I'm also doing the wait and it's also killing me - especially seeing all the regular admission peeps getting their As.

I did my UMP interview late Aug and got my A recently. But if def does seem to be done a bit diff than the regular MD track.

I'm honestly still hung up on the many diff ways in which people receive decisions lol

A really small number for the UMP, if I remember correctly around 10 matriculated last year

Might have to wait a few days until the letter arrives. You have to submit your acceptance decision via mail as well, so if you don't get it in the mail I would call and ask about the situation.

Oh that's awesome, congrats! Does your A letter say you were admitted to UMP? In last year thread I've seen people reporting being accepted for general MD track, and that their UMP app is still under review. That made me think there were two separate admission committees.

Thanks! And that's interesting. I def didn't receive any kind of notification like that.
 
Has anyone interviewed for the MSTP yet? I have some questions about the MSTP interview logistics that I'm looking to get cleared up!
 
anybody still waiting to get an interview date? they sent me a secondary for the urban program and completed the grad application back in 8/25 and they still haven't marked my LORs and prereqs as completed despite me emailing them several times :/

I'm waiting for my interview date too. I emailed and they told me that the letters get placed in a queue to be read through and marked as completed in our portals. Once they're complete, they'll send more info about the interview

SAME what does that mean!! I didn't know we'd get an email like that, I thought we just had to wait for the 15th of each month to hear but now I have to be anxious about emails toooooo

interviewed 10/5 and got the same email. anyone w decisions previously receive this?

10/5 and I also got this…. i’m scared… any other 10/5 get this??? did anyone who get the A get this lol

I don't think this email is an indication of any particular decision coming. It just reiterates what IU adcom keeps telling us about the admission process - your app is under consideration until it is not - no decision is guaranteed the following month.

good point! someone got a post-II R yesterday from Indiana, they interviewed mid october. guessing since they sent some of those out, they may as well let everyone else know what’s up
